I work as a bookseller in Amsterdam and I keep recommending this book to people, mostly because I want people to talk about it with. We sell a ton of copies and I've put it on all our recommended lists. I think it's also really important to know that fled the holocaust, I looked at the book with new eyes after I learned that. I read this book maybe 15 years ago. What a great book ! One of my favorite. So strange and fascinating, so important questions for human being...🙏I love quite and reflexive dystopia. Did you read Jo Walton ? It is really good too. From Jacqueline Harpmann I read "La plage d'Ostende" too. Very different but same atmosphere. I recommand. Happy week-end Ann !
