The question asked was if Siddhas can see the past, present and future of others through their ajna chakra.
Om Swami says that one does not need the ajna chakra for seeing the past, present and future but one needs an awakening and an immense amount of compassion for humanity. He says that there are some future events which are pre-ordained and that is called prarabdh. These can be seen up to a certain extent. Some future events are yet to be determined and are therefore in the process of being constructed. And, then there are some future events which is determined only by the divine and this cannot be seen by anyone. He says, that a yogi can scan a person and get an overall picture, but not all the time. In the case where the future is fixed, they can see it but surprisingly ninety percent of the time the future is not fixed and so it is very difficult to say whether something will happen or not. He says, many of the predictions by the so called Siddhas, astrologers or soothsayers is more on the theory of probability and not on the truth. So, a Siddha yogi will not use words to predict as he knows that an individual has to do his karma to attain things.
Om Swami says that it is said that the tenth guru of the sikhs Shri guru Govind Singh blessed people with different kinds of blessings based on what he saw in them. One of the blessings was ‘ there will be Nanak’s grace and your work will be done. When questioned about this blessing and asked if Nanak Dev could change someone’s destiny he said that, just like the alphabets on a seal which are engraved in an opposite way but when stamped on a paper appear right and change its value similarly when Guru Nanak Dev stamps a person with his seal even the crooked in them becomes straight. Om Swami says, and this is a yogi’s siddhi. A person who is bereft of this knowledge can gain nothing even if he has run away with the seal. For, he will be reading it the wrong way forever. He says, siddhi cannot be bought over the counter and it cannot be used for all. When someone wants their work done, they can pretend to be empty and in total surrender. But that is not true surrender and is like a business transaction. In this kind of a scenario a yogi may or may not do something. Nobody knows. But when one comes with an empty mind and with an attitude of true and total surrender, they turn into a divine soul instead of an ordinary one, he says.
The main difference between a yogi and a bhogi is that a yogi is firmly established in his truth but a bhogi keeps flowing.
