This is how I imagine LEGION in real life. The loss of a single one of Kane's disciples is unacceptable, and that strategy gets thrown out. Only total victory over the fascist GDI is an acceptable parameter.

I am rather disturbed by the fact that you make your obelisks turn into your base in the marv mission. Also. In case you haven't noticed yet. The black hand can build 2 commandos and they both start as heroric.

24:20 it could be that those bases belong to two different factions with the same colors, so one would be coded to have autosell enabled and the other one won't for the mission purposes

If you want to capture a structure in Kanes wrath then you have to EMP the structure first, the buggy's EMP works well

we are now living in the age of remakes and relaunches. so probably, someone in EA may understand that destroying one of the most famous RTS series with TW4 was a bad idea and its time to reclaim C&C positions.

Also, auto-sell is useful for skirmish AI, too. 28:29 I think I used Vertigos last time I played this and once their power was down, they were easy pickings. If you use reckoners and keep a war factory next to them for repairs, nothing can get through, especially if you garrison them with those enlightened you start with + some Tib troopers. Then when the other subfactions roll up you can just steamroll them with 3 Redeemers, Purifiers, etc. You can even upgrade the Awakened with the Black Hand's charged particle beams for massive damage. 33:07 Yeah, I would've been fine if you just ignored that. Personally I wouldn't spend time saving things that aren't even alive or trying to get nonexistent dead people to survive. Anyways, great video!

Urgh. Every time I see one of these videos I'm just once again reminded how stupid the plot gets whenever Kane is involved. They really should have just let sleeping dogs lie and come up with other characters to serve as Nod leaders. And it's also kind of hilarious how Nod is always magically able to bounce back from total devastation and pull out miracle technology, manufacturing capability and troops out of their ass despite GDI having considerably better access to resources, infrastructure, researchers and research facilities. Nice job on the synth voices btw

Well, there is more C&C! I mean, there is OG one and TibSun, and I'm pretty sure most of missions can be beat without loses with some assumptions (Engineers/Limpet Drones don't count etc)

Over the course of the TibWars and Kanes Wrath cutscenes it gets easy to see just how utterly fed up with Humans Kane is.

Oh, also. The reason they don't just add a sonic repulsion field to all buildings to prevent you from capping them is that the field (or laser fence for nod) breaks at 75% health. It'd be an extra hurdle, but you'd still easily be able to grab enemy tech. They failed in that goal anyway, but still.

Great video, I never got around to this DLC but the base game is amazing and honestly probably the last EA game I even liked, it's a damn shame they killed off C&C there's just no RTS like it I don't even really like RTS games but the always killer soundtracks made me love these games growing up, they go so well with a rising tide of metal and death that you rush forth to steamroll the enemy

I don’t think the Campaign AI can sell construction yards as an anti loss mechanic. That’s why they didn’t bother to turn off the sell mechanism for the AI because they already couldn’t sell the construction yard.

so think the reason the system for selling the buildings is inconsistent on some maps is the same trick which is used in starcraft 2 for a couple of missions, simply put rather then facing 1 AI you are in reality facing multiple enemies who share a faction and color which means you cant tell the difference between them outside of maybe booting up the map in an editor, that would explain why on a couple of missions you can seemingly capture one building but not another, one is controlled by AI A which has the auto sell fuction turned off because it owns a mission critical building while AI B doesnt because it has no critical buildings to sell, ofc I could be wrong but it would explain a lot

27:51 The reason why they did not surround all the buildings with sonic fields is the fact that the sonic field can be removed if you damage the building enough.

Marked of cane should be suseptable to emps since their life is dependant on electricity.

God, seeing these videos, I wonder if this would be possible with the earlier titles, tiberian sun springs to mind as well as firestorm. However I remember especially firestorm being exceptionally difficult at times, and tiberian sun having some missions that were some real difficulty spikes.
