placidisax having 40% resistance makes sense imo. He’s supposed to have 5 heads, but we only see 2. thus he has 40% instead of the full 100% resistance he should theoretically have

The fact that red lightning comes from the sky and you catch it to smite your foes like you showed is exactly why I love this game so much, it has freaking no reason at all to be this cool and beautifull but the devs said f it, this shit will be remembered for long

Ah yes, "Challange" run with Ancient Dragon Spells. Plot-twist: The Bosses were doing the challange. They failed.

What I really like, are the different colours for both lightning and fire. It's just plain fun to throw them around, although my personal favourite has to bee the Frost Lightning.

just a heads up, all attacks you can jump over, the ancient dragon spells that make you float with dodge them. So all sweeping attacks, all godfrey ground slams, stuff like that you can cast glaive or fortisax's spears and you'll dodge the entire attack while landing some mean hits

I absolutely love the glaive. Reasonable cost/damage, fairly quick, and the little wave loves catching fast enemies.

2:49 golden order lightning spells are conducted using body electricity while the ancient dragon spells are actually summoning spells which summon lightning straight from out of time, i.e , fazum azula

YESSS I've been looking for this challenge since the game came out, essentially, and my luck in finding it has been poor. Until today.

I like to think the reason the dragon lord has lowish resistance to lighting is because he's broken and missing a lot of his body

Dude, this is literally my entire build. Of course the incantations are incredibly difficult to use. You have to really pick and choose carefully when it’s wisest to do so.

btw, in case you didn't know about the messages on the water of Radahn's arena, some people invaded while people were on the verge of the arena and spawned in a glitched location that is underneath the water. Any message they write at the bottom, appears at the top of the water. Really weird glitch, but I think they patched it already.

Before I watched this, I honestly tried Ancient Lightning Dragon Strike in a very specific build and was very much surprised when I found out that even bosses like Maliketh, Godfrey, and Radagon get melted by that incantation so quickly. So this video puts a smile on my face

Very nice! The Dragon Cult Incantations are honestly my favorite incantations and they're also very good so I knew this challenge would be a fun one. P.S. A Golden Order/Fundamentalist Incantations Only Elden Ring run has been done. It's completely possible to beat the entire game using them. So perhaps you can try that one some time in future. The main hard part about the run is grinding runes for leveling both Faith and Int and being patient for the holy resistant bosses. The spells absolutely annihilate Deathbirds though so fighting them is very good for getting runes. Radagon's Rings of Light can also do a surprising amount of damage so it's worth getting it and using it as soon as possible. Using Healing Incantations is also recommended in this run since Cerulean Flasks will be more important than Crimson Flasks. There's also a total of 20 Starlight Shards in the game so using them for some of the more holy resistant bosses like Maliketh or Radagon and Elden Beast is worth it.

You can access the deeproot depths where fortisax is by going under lyndell. It’s a hidden path

I have an entire one-shot build using the dragon lightning spells, they're incredible. Glaive is definitely the most underwhelming as far as raw damage, but the sheer area it covers is amazing. And using it in watery areas is stupid

I’d consider Vyke’s Dragonbolt and Death Lightning ancient dragon spells as well, since Vyke got his dragonbolt from Lansseax, and Fortissax uses Death Lightning. Maybe not Death Lightning, since that’s a corrupted variant of Fortissax’s original power, but whatever

Ancient dragon spells are my favorite, I ended up playing through NG+7-10 with a dedicated Ancient Dragon Priest build, no melee straight spells. The lightning stakes can also jump over attacks (I jumped over a guy using Hoarah loux ground slam AoW and slammed him with fortissax lightning spears, he ate them directly and called me a hacker lol)

Dragonlord Ballsax will definitely be a problem with all his might.

You have reignited my love for this game with this run, I'm going to go and make my Str/Fth Paladin again and run through the game with these spells.

ALS is the incantation response to shard spiral. they are the “is the boss large? then use this” spells. they can hit multiple times and can melt through bosses it’s actually hilarious. i recently did a “goddess of magic” run where i pumped to 80-80 int faith with mind and arcane…. dear GOD it was insane. especially when i got the seal and staff that scaled on both…. over 400 spell bonus… before talismans and other buffs…. it was glorious. shard spiral melted elden beast in seconds while ALS took care of basically everything else once i got it. i was squishy as even a light breeze reduced me to atoms…. but it was so worth it.

That Gransax Spear needs a buff. Why the hell does it not have any faith scaling is something the developers definitely forgot to add.

ADLS being not only the highest damaging Ancient Dragon incant but also the easiest to hit is an absolute joke but im all for it. Ez minimum 4k dmg on pretty much every main boss

ancient dragon lightning storm has made me a faith user ever since i discovered it in my first run its just too op

Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike alone can delete bosses with ease, pair it with Lightning Scorpion Charm, Godfrey’s Icon, Grand Flock Talisman, and Shard of Alexander and you are gonna do half the bosses health bar. As well as having the Cracked Lightning Tear.

It's a little sad that ADLS is the only good incantation against bosses. Most of the time using the other ancient dragon incantations aren't even worth the trade, unless you're really over leveled. Hope we get some better ones or Ice lightning incantations in the DLC.

Awesome video ! Finally i see someone using these incantations. I was hoping to see placidusax's ruin in action but its understandable, its quite slow and comes with an high risk. Oh well, its surely way better than those ones who say they're gonna beat ER only using dragon powers and then just use rotten breath all the time lol

ADLS works so well due to hitting multiple times on big targets, and charging it just gives more bolts to mince those targets with, So elden breast and the dragon lord get devoured

While playing through NG+, I one shot Godrick’s second phase with ADLS, which ik isn’t quite as impressive as it sounds because, well, it’s Godrick, but I found it hilarious at the time

secret special strategy for Godfrey with ADLS: If you make sure to phase transition him into Hoarah Loux where he starts at, the other bolts of ADLS will hit him as soon as the cutscene ends, doing another 2-4k damage for free.

This is my first playthrough of Elden Ring and I went with a full on Intelligence mage build cause I fucking love magic but when I saw people use incantation builds I got so jealous cause those dragon spells look fucking *SICK*

you can win the entire game and the dlc with only ancient dragpn's lightning strike. its easy to set up and optimize and very few bosses have any real lightning resistance
