Fusion Cores are some of the most sought after items in Fallout 4. They’re not too common out in the wasteland, are expensive beyond belief, and your Power Armor is worthless without them. But more importantly you can use them to turn nuclear waste into an actual weapon which naturally brings up an important question: Can You Beat Fallout 4 With Only Ejected Fusion Cores?

If you haven’t dug deep under the intelligence perk tree in Fallout 4 you’d never know that Rank 3 of the Nuclear Physicist perk lets you eject Fusion Cores from your Power Armor as a sort of timed grenade. Nuclear Physicist itself requires Intelligence of 9 and it also requires you to be level 26 so before you can unlock it so step 1 in my adventure to cleanse the wasteland with nuclear leftovers was to get to level 26 without attacking anything. I won’t overhype it. I’ll be nice and call it a learning experience.
The real game begins with very minor tweaks to create the perfect man and the assigning of SPECIAL points. As I said, Intelligence needs to be at 9. Perception at 4 lets me take the Lockpicking perk, Endurance at 7 because I’m gonna be taking a lot of damage in the early game, Charisma o 3 for the Lone Wanderer perk and the rest are irrelevant. I named myself Shaun to amuse me, not you, there were fireworks, and as one door closed, another one opened. As for escaping the vault without attacking any of the roaches, it’s as easy as locking them behind the door and waiting for them to forget you existed.
Out into the rest of Fallout 4, I headed home to get to work. In the past I’ve harvested the remnants of mother nature’s beauty to create a world of fences. After abusing that power for more than a year I learned that some settlement items can be crafted in place over and over again without moving. But there’s an actual exploit that drawrves everything I’ve done before. All around Sanctuary are items trees, baby fences, houses, cars that can be scrapped for their base components. You take these components alongside a few perks and craft wire fences or wood fences, any item that costs next to nothing to craft, craft as many as you can and you can be at level 4 or 5 before you leave Sanctuary. The difficulty in past videos has been obtaining enough components to create objects on a large enough scale that make it worth doing. But that problem dies today with the infamous item duplication glitch. Full disclosure I loosely followed SuperbTube’s video on getting this Fallout 4 infinite experience exploit 2021 to work properly. It feels impossible to get at first, then you get a nail it once, forget what your mentor just told you to do and make a mistake. But that wasn’t my first mistake.

fun fact: In the Prydwen there is a knight, roaming around that has infinite fusion cores.Every time you pickpocket his/her core he/she will place another one. You can repeat this as much as you want until you have the desired amount of cores. In about 1h you can get over 250 cores.

I don't know if this was intentional, but I find it hilarious to think that the Railroad - whose entire identity is around covert operations and subterfuge - would send someone who has a known penchant for wildly detonating nuclear explosives with reckless abandon to handle their most important and most delicate tasks

As someone who suffers from addiction today is totally a horrible Christmas just thinking about Mitten… I wrote on a piece of paper on my wall “stop using it killed mitten” … I’m addicted to opiates and cigarettes and I’ve kicked everything but cigarettes and I refuse to smoke one today because I want to be alive to see fallout 5 …. I used to get so high and explore the wasteland much like Mitten getting high and playing fallout to curb depression is something only a certain number of people will understand … god it just rips me apart knowing his demons won and he never even uploaded a starfield video. Rest in peace mitten … I promise I’ll make a oath to never let my demons kill me.

I recommend crafting flags for XP grinding. They have no collision so you can just spam build without moving until you’re out of cloth, then do the same with deconstruct.

Mitten, Fusion Cores fall under the "Scrounger" perk for collecting ammo as they count as ammunition due to the fact that you can eject them like this. You can start finding stacks of four in ammo crates before even getting to Diamond City

Unrelated to anything, but I remembered how joining the Railroad was the most fun because it wasn't the Minute Men and the BOS is just "kill stuff", but the Railroad is also the most disappointing because half the time it's literally just the institute quest line. I also had no idea about this perk even after playing like 100 hours.

I have seen on the wiki that Fusion Core is the ammunition of the Gatling Laser, so it can be easily obtained by selecting the Scrounger puck from among the perks that can be selected from luck.

I started my first playthrough like a year ago, I’ve played the game multiple times on friends/ step brothers Xbox but finally got the game and started my own playthrough and at the very beginning I unknowingly made the game retarded easy. I leveled up to max health and damage resistant and damage dealing as much as I could as soon as possible and even on hard it made the game WAYYY to fuckin easy man so I’ve never actually used power armor at all unless I wear it just to bring it back to sanctuary and get it to 100% condition and level up all the armor on it just to store it in my power armor collection no since I also leveled up scrounger thing for caps and ammmo as soon as possible I’ve collected a fuckin massive amount of practically useless fusion cores and have no use for them since I don’t use power armor or the Gatling laser. I also figured out early on that I could get the clothes off of dead bodies instead of just the guns and ammo and get way more caps on my trips to the store so I spent the early game over encumbered most of the time before leveling up carry weight and fast travel thing while carrying too much also as early as possible before learning that I could command my companion to pick up objects and it lets him carry an unlimited amount of shit doing it that way. I’ve also ran into a weird issue that has me sort of soft locked in the game 🤦🏻‍♂️ I never picked a faction to side with, instead I’ve done missions for all of them and now I’m at the mission where the factions battle at bunker hill and I’m supposed to warn whichever faction(s) I choose about the institutes attack but since I’m friends with all of them I have no enemies at the battle of bunker hill no matter which ones I warn or even warning all of them so now the synths there won’t follow me to leave no matter which faction I fight at the battle and I have absolutely no idea how to get through that mission without going back to a previous save?

@@fatboywonder355 Don't listen to that other guy, soldiers literally do have purple hearts. It's a rare condition caused by extreme stress on the battlefield that causes the tissue itself to be unable to retain enough oxygen for its typical red coloration. Being "awarded" the Purple Heart is just having it officially diagnosed by a doctor.

@@isaacangelos They do that with almost all of their playthroughs. The second they enable a console command, all credibility flies out the window. "Can you beat the game with a [weapon name]?" "Well first we're going to console kill *these* enemies to get to it-" Instead of actually showing you the difficulty/impossibilty of a given playthrough or challenge, they console command the f*** out of their playthrough. Why bother in the first place?

@@isaacangelos he's said that in other videos, where he uses a rare gun that has rare ammo the play through turns into "pacifist except every so often i can kill a enemy" which is boring. Examples being "can i beat fallout 4 with only a fatman" which has hard to get ammo. So that run was him being a pacifist until he found a nuke, then it's pacifist again. Rinse wash repeat. You can try this challenge without duplicating see how it goes.

That sounds like a wonderful way for me to not have to deal with the broken (not in a good way) economy of Fallout 4; so everything doesn't cost any arm and a leg just to buy literally anything. Especially building/crafting supplies. To avoid the broken economy, I'll just flip the uno reverse card, wonderful!

@@raynardrapael5559 If you're playing normally, yes, I believe it does, but The comment here is about using the duplication glitch that was shown in the video to both store and deconstruct the object you built. The vendor stations you build require you to use caps as part of their building process, and you get caps back when you deconstruct them, so you can dupe them just like Paul did in the video for functionally infinite caps.

@@caseyhall2320 I made a character who's entire purpose is to be economical. I prioritized maximizing my exp gain, loot yield and barter capabilities. Basically that means fortune finder, scrounger, locksmith, hacker, cap collector, and idiot savant perks, and 10 base charisma. I achieved 15 intelligence with the "You're SPECIAL" book, bobblehead, 1 piece of intelligence boosting gear, and a Mentats addiction. Because idiot savant actually gives higher average exp gain at rank 2 with 15 intelligence than with low intelligence. I wore a charisma boosting outfit while bartering, and with that I was getting pretty good prices with only rank 1 of cap collector, and after rank 2 I was getting the best prices. After passing level 20 I was literally getting more caps than I could spend and easily buying out entire stocks of things I wanted from vendors by trading in things I didn't want (i.e. trading them ammo I didn't use). Just in case you wanted to know how to master the economy of Fallout 4, it's not broken, it's just unfavorable to anyone who doesn't get any of the economic perks which is the purpose of those perks.

@@NODnuke45 that's cool that, that's possible, but I still find that to be too much work for the average playthrough just so I can properly earn some caps for bartering. In NV and 3, with a barter of 0, it was still more favorable. And barter had it's own 100 point total tab that was much more accessable than the myriad of perks you just listed.

You can put wooden shelves on a destroyed building in Sanctuary and once you had enough and can't place any more shelves, just scrap the entire building and the shelves that were supported by it will all get stored away at once! This is much faster than scrapping and storing the last shelf!

At level 28, you get a guaranteed spawn for X-01 power armor at 35 Court. If I were to do this, I probably would have gone for that instead of just running around in an empty frame. (You do need to kill a sentry bot and an assaultron to get it, so I probably would have still picked up the T-45 first.)
