It adds a whole new layer of replayablilty which make fe games all that more fun to play!

Im super funny to me that i get a really good Lyn on a run that is supposed to have units with crap growths. Kinda ironic I guess.

I feel like he is low tier only because of availability and locked to swords. He can be a monster for some of the hardest late game maps.

Her support affinity and partners are good, but FE7 is the absolute worst FE game for bow users. All the Binding Blade and Sacred Stones archers are better basically by default simply because bows do triple effective might, chip and anti-Flier is more relevant in FE6, and Neimi is objectively better than Rebecca due to how Sacred Stones is designed (exclusive promo item, less bow competition, the option to go Ranger on promotion, grinding being available). I like Rebecca, but shes bad. Only Wil is worse.

Okay okay okay this is the most GameFAQs thing I've ever seen so let me break this down. Can Nino be the best mage in FE7 with raw stats? Yes, she can. But that's EXP and resources that other units can use better. Although low growth prepromotes like Marcus won't make much use of EXP, their purpose is to assist other units. In Fire Emblem, resources are much more limited than most RPGs so having to use resources on units like Nino to get them good isn't worth it, you can use those resources to make an already good unit even better

@TheRealLifeSaiyan i mean, yeah, I get that, but I literally only play or care from a casual perspective. I'm not trying to speedrun FE in any capacity, and I doubt most others are either. So, seeing what are or can be some of the best units being labeled trash is funny to me. It's like saying dart sucks because you get hawkeye. Why bother training a new berserker or going out of your way for an ocean seal when you just get hawkeye? Or like just getting an assassin in general. Assassins are awesome. I know getting them sucks but that's what makes it worth it. I totally understand the meta rankings. I just think the mentality of availability trumping stats is trash. Sure Nino needs kills to be good and you get her late, but she's still really good. It's not like being smart/careful with your units is unreasonable in a strategy game. That's speedrunner type of mentality if you're basically ignoring things like growths. By that same mentality you should never bother using the lords because it's easier to just let marcus clear the maps. Hell you really shouldn't use anyone that's not already immediately strong like him or Isadora. Availability and investment aren't really considerations I have ever cared about. I like to go "haha, big funny numbers" after putting in the effort to get the units. Not just blast through the game with characters like hawkeye, marcus, and athos cause they're easy and available. Fire emblem is all about the characters, and if all you're looking at is how fast or easily you can clear the game, then it loses a lot of its uniqueness.

@@randomperson10101 Dart doesn't suck because you get Hawkeye, Dart sucks because he just sucks. He joins underleveled and is horrible inaccurate thanks to his low Skl. To make matters worse, he can only promote with the Ocean Seal which you can sell for $25,000 rather than waste it on Dart. He is not unusable, but he is most definitely not a good unit. Regarding Nino, she sucks because the investment you have to put in her is ridiculous for what you get in return which is a slightly better Pent (who you get for free and 2 chapters earlier). It's not about speedrunning, it's about efficiency. Training Nino effectively make the game harder, not easier as she comes horribly underleveled, can't kill anything and gets killed by everything. I understand it can be fun to raise a unit from zero to hero, but to call her a good unit with how little she offers when she joins you is just ludicrous.

@MiniJodaTV well then call me ludicrous because I like training units and using them casually based on stupid thing like their design, personalities, etc. I don't care about stats or availability nearly as much as anyone on half these kinds of videos. I'll use legault and make him an assassin because I like him, and I think he's a good and fun unit. Are there "better" ways to play? Sure, but I don't care. The talk about efficiency and availability or whatever else is incredibly pointless to me. Largely because of how it ignores such huge contributing parts of the games. If I want to see "efficient" gameplay, I'll watch a speedrun with the "best" units being used and stupid amounts of rng manipulation.

@@randomperson10101 That means you acknowledge these units as being low tier despite your preference on how to play the game. Nino is indeed low tier. Your liking of her doesn't change that.

@@meteorkaiser another thing is most tier list take into account availabilty as a factor when they place characters so a character rank guide will normally give you better results for a challenge run meekah has a good series on them for most games
