Will it be possible to beat MH4U G Rank without sharpening my weapon? Watch to find out.
Challenge Rules:
1. You cannot use Whetstones, whetfish or even seregios weapons
2. Cannot use Armor skills that effect sharpness like handicraft, razorsharp, protective polish, etc.
3. Cannot use weapons that don’t have sharpness like Bows and Bowguns

You can cheese alatreon with kinsect only in under 30 mins Also there is a cheese with GS under 15 mins I actually finished him with kjar lbg thunder It shoots ice and thunder very good for the 2 phases

I remember the Alatreon village quest in 3u, went in with survivor charmed into a full brachy set with the brachy long sword. double carted and all out of healing, managed to just slay him in the last minutes. Now i'm working my way to Swag Axe solo him in world

His 3U village quest is hell. He makes you realize what a black dragon is. I managed to beat him with Brachy dual blades in the last five minutes. Definitely one of the best victories I’ve ever had in a game.

Ironically, you probably chose one of the worst weapons to do this challenge with. Charge blade goes through sharpness so fast with the shield thrust guarding/guard pointing and also the phial attacks taking extra sharpness. Probably the only worse one might be Dual Blades. Makes it all the more impressive that you did this!

well phial damage does sharpness ignoring dmg, i will say gunlance may be better but idk

I would have tackled the challenge with probly GS since u can plan out your attacks and have a decent payout for the sharpness used

Ironically, he actually chose one of the best weapons to do the challenge, if not the only one able to pull it off. As stated above, phials ignore the sharpness multiplier that all weapons have to deal with, so both AEDs and SAEDs keep doing their max damage output even if your weapon drops to red. Maybe going for an attack boost instead of the guard one would have made things easier.

I tried beating MH4U using only Gunner weapons and it was really fun. Even early on without some Skills that were "the meta" back then, like Evade Extender on HBG. I haven't tried to 1v1 Gogmazios like that (yet), though.

The Specs I use are GTX 1660 GPU, ryzen 5 2600 CPU, 16gb RAM. I would recommend getting a 3000 series Ryzen CPU or an Intel i9. Also, that really means a lot to me that you and your group love my content. 🤗🤗🤗

I just realised how lucky I am during my MH4U days, after reaching G rank, some dudes farm kushala daora like there's no tomorrow with me in it and the amount of loot i gained that time is enough to build all my end game needs, then this guy beat 4U without sharpening, Solo... Mad respect

For anyone watching, heavy armor spheres can be farmed in High Rank quests by farming the armor stones off of Event 3 Dahren Morhen and combining with firecell stones

Use Seregios weapon so you don't need to sharpen your blade type weapon.. :)

Good morning / night I have a suggestion : the coin Challenge Rules - you only can use armor and weapons that has training reward ( coins ) as materials - only part of the Challenge you can use another weapon is in training and to get the first weapon. This is the only exception

Just a small tip but if you misplace a trap you can walk up to its core and destroy it, at least in GU, so you can place down a new trap faster

I stand by the claim that 3U Stygian is one of the hardest fights in the series. He’s just so quick and hard hitting. He and Green Narg were wayyy too much of a wall for me😂

So when I started G Rank, I farmed Nercylla armor. Then when I got to G2 and I unlocked Seregios, I got his armor. I’m not G3 yet..... But of course this doesn’t apply to your challenge, but to those who are playing 4u and reached G Rank, Nercylla armor is a good one.

Iirc F. Bombardier doesn't stack with Artillery God. Artillery Novice +F. Bombardier gives the same boost as Artillery God. Just pointing this out if it wasn't in the video.
