Welcome to my sixth Pokemon Challenge! Today we seek to answer if it is possible to beat Pokemon White with only a Snivy!

It’s funny how in Pokémon if you want some Pokémon evolutions like with Scissor, you have to be a villain cause it requires you ‘steel’ a Pokémon 🤣

This is so cool! I don’t really have the skills to build a full Pokémon team so I think this’ll be very helpful for my casual playthough with only Snivy. Snivy has always been my favorite to use and is probably just my favorite.

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed! And yeah, my recommendation for Snivy is Adamant Nature, Leaf Blade, Coil, Scope Lens, (and Slash if I recall correctly)! Good luck in your playthrough!

I remember when i was younger, i got a toy of Snivy from somewhere, making it my first ever pokemon toy.... even tho i had no idea who it actually was since i only had Pokemon Stadium 2 at the time, so i only knew gen 1-2 mons

IT'S MAH BOY Snivy and its evolution line are my favorites. Might try this challenge myself one day, this little smug snake is a KING, or should I say UN ROI

LOL! Snivy is definitely the best of the Unova Starters for these runs! I think you'd definitely enjoy it!

About the N fight, you could have just filled your party with weak mons so the game lets you not have Zekrom in your team. But that would have made fighting Reshiram a lot harder. I did a whole Snivy-line run recently and, with Serperior at level 70, a +1 Normal Gem Return with an Adamant Nature was just a range, while Reshiram still 2HKOed with Fusion Flare. It took me over 10 resets to beat N, but then Ghetsis was a piece of cake (though I used Rest instead of Taunt).

Yeah, a lot of people told me about that method after this video went up. Thanks for telling me! I had no idea that you could even do that, but I ended up using that method during my Oshawott run! Also lmao, your run sounds funny!

20:08 if you black out during the N fight, you can deposit Zekrom and go in with just Snivy

There are also other methods to removed the Legendary Dragon from your party. This was my first Gen 5 run so I wasn't familiar, but in the Oshawott run I had learned of methods to get around the whole issue. For the Oshawott run, I had a full party when I caught the Legendary Dragon, meaning that I was able to just send it to the PC immediately lol

Zekron can be not use by having a full team. You could have a team of 5 caterpie and your Pokemon. It will ask if you want to box any of your team

new sub here. Is doing EV training a tradition in these challenges or just your choice? Doesn't EV training give you an advantage? Sorry if it's asked before.

Whether or not a runner decides to EV train is up to them. EV training helps a lot if you take the time to do it, but it takes a lot of time (and sometimes it is really annoying if you need to grind an EV stat that isn't immediately available). In a lot of runs, whether or not you EV train can be the difference between a successful run or a failure!

@@ShroYT Thank you for your answer. Personally, I find it "less challenging", because training really matters, as you said. And a viewer's opinion, if you would like to hear: I watched a couple of your videos, Snivy the latest, and saw that it was 30 minutes of setup move +sweep. I really saw no "challenge" if that's what you wish to document. For example, maybe you could cut some boring Cheren battle and show us how Cofagrigus took you out with Toxic before heading out to get Taunt, etc. I guess a balance of what you could do and could not do would make videos more interesting? PSA: I love how you say one shot xD

@@salamanje I appreciate the feedback! I have often heard that I should show more attempts, so I'm trying to do that more in my upcoming videos. The next video should be out soon, I hope. I've been "working on it" for a long time, and it is nearing completion now. I have made sure to show failed attempts, so hopefully that makes things feel a bit less repetitive!

I would've loved to continue making them, but sadly the viewership completely died and it wasn't worth the time investment... I do want to continue doing them, but I don't know if I can justify spending as much time as I did on them.

@@ShroYT maybe change up the formula. Do streams or just really quick runs and voice them over in a day. Gen 3 is much faster to run. And you could look up modhacks that make the game speedier/more difficult/whathaveyou. Backports are in currently. You could look into decompts/PrET/PokeemeraldExpansion for altering the game to use Pokemon from later generations. Stuff like that. Minimize the investment to maximize output. As long as you're consistent and try new things occasionally you're likely to find an audience

I like the game- minus the starter selection. My absolute least favorite group…. I LOVE X & Y😍 but the starter set there is my second LEAST favorite…. Just two sets, where no anywhere near go to choice…

@@ShroYT Simply saying I like this game as I do X & Y but… In my opinion these two great games have to me trash starters, compared to the other Gen sets.. If it had a different set of starters, like the Gen one or Gen four group (favorite 2 groups), both would be even better lol 😅
