the one feature mario wonder doesn't have that i wish it did is a new game + mode where you could replay the game from the start while keeping all your badges, for challenges like this

Or just a hard mode where powerups are less prevalent and badges can't be used, but with a much larger reward after completing the badge marathon

I thought about that for a bit too, but I think there’s no reason to make a new save file anyway. Every level can be replayed, so the only thing a new save file does is forcing you to watch all the cutscenes again. Challenge runs can just be done by going back to each individual level,

I ended up using Jet Run for most levels in my casual playthrough, and it was really fun. Gave it that bit of challenge I was really looking for.

I’ve also been replaying That One Rhythm Block Level over and over with it on. It’s really fun, and honestly, easier than any other badge option.

I beat the Wonder Gauntlet with Jet Run earlier today. The hardest part was luckily the pipe section at the beginning, so I could redo it as many times as I needed to.

i used it in every level from world 2 onwards and it feels so weird to me that thats not just how the game is. like watching gameplay of it not on feels surreal to me because im so used to it being on in every level that wasnt a badge challenge

I feel the spring feet badge would be a harder challenge then jet run. Keeping on the bull rush gets even harder when you cant stand on the bulls

Jet run isn’t useful in the any% speedrun because it takes too long to get. It’ll probably be used in 100% but the game is too new for it to be routed well

Jet run is (probably) gonna save time over the fast dash route in the all royal seeds BTT (you can find progress towards this on my channel) during rta runs i think jet run will be used eventually but no idea how soon

Congrats! I’ve also recently beaten all levels with the jet run badge and had so much trouble at the level shown at 0:29 since I wanted to do the wonder effect which is hard af with the badge lol. I’d recommend you playing all levels also with the hopping badge since it’s very fun and much harder. I was struggling already at the first world lol.

It would be cool if you could get challenge badges that restrict a part of your moveset or makes the level harder in some way, but you get a bunch of flower coins at the end of the level to add incentive to use them

Oh I had no idea you did this. I just finished doing a 100% jet run only playthrough myself. I assume you know this kinda stuff already but I thought it was worth mentioning that in the linking lift level you don't even have to use the moving platform, the extra airtime jet run gives you is more than enough to clear the gaps between the blocks you hit to extend the platform.

Also for some reason, when you activate your emote wheel during online play, the badge stops working during that time, making it possible to stand at one spot even though you wear the badge

I wonder if multiple effects can happen at once with the Wonder Flower.. I kinda wanna see a run in which you’re always chased by your shadow. I dunno why, but I’ve always loved that kind of mechanic in the different Mario games, It’d be a fun mod, LEL.

Fun fact about the jet run badge that I found out: if you jump and then HOLD the emote button you stay perfectly still until you release the button. Been using this trick to help out people during the jet run section of the badge marathon and it works perfectly! EVEN ON SLOPES! Crouching or ground pounding to stall momentum on slopes is not a good idea as this usually results in getting a death or just being thrown where you don't want to be. So this method is way better.

This is the by far least entertaining challenge run I have ever seen. I saw playing darksouls normally as a challenge run already. Just going "It's normal" and ending the video isn't very good.

Spoiler for people who haven’t 100% the game yet/or seen everything I’m so sad there’s only 3 REAL Expert Badges, I was expecting 6 because of the layout, and the final “Expert” badge was super disappointing, it’s kinda funny but I was really hoping for the dare devil concept people were speculating where 1 hit KO no matter what powerup or what character you are.

@@iceboyproductions I mean, it has to be possible because Nabbit and the Yoshis can’t collect powerups. They can’t lock anything mandatory behind one or people who play those characters can’t beat the game.
