The idea that a Yiga Footsoldier could be so devoted to the cause that he not only surpasses his own master, but the literal Dark Lord that they worship, meanwhile still praising the very Master he defeated is hilarious and kind of on brand for the "task failed successfully" grindset of the Clan

I love totk's Yiga. Sure, they want to kill Link, but almost every one you talk to in the depths just want to do science and build monster trucks 😂

You can actually put off the yiga mask IN FRONT of the blademaster guy and he just goes like "huh you seem familiar... meh anyway you should put that back on. Glory to Master Kohga" LMAO

Someone said something that made sense about why Kohga can recognize Link even though he's in Yiga armor: Kohga has been in the Yiga clan for at least 120 years or something, and is very adored by his goons. And he's shown to take care of them in return, so it'd make sense that he knows every member of the Yiga clan, hence how he could recognize Link even in Yiga set. Also blond hair

Yiga Link pulling the master sword actually makes a lot of sense considering Yiga Clan Members can steal the Master Sword in BOTW if you bait and lead one of the big guys to it

10/10 Master Kohga is one of the best characters in AOC, BOTW and TOTK.

Fun fact about the Eightfold Longblades, the Wind Projectile they shoot can carry some fused item effects, the most obvious being elemental attachments turning your wind blades into Fire/Ice/Lightning blades. This actually ends up having a pretty powerful interaction with Muddle Buds. If you attach one to your Longblade, the Wind Projectiles will actually Confuse enemies. The best part? As long as you don't hit the enemy with with blade and only the projectile, it doesn't consume the Muddle Bud! The Pristine Eightfold Longblade ends up becoming an extremely powerful tool in your arsenal if you abuse elemental and muddle fusions. Pair that up with it's unique Iai Slash charge attack that drastically extends the AoE of the Wind Projectile and you can do insane things like Burn/Freeze/Shock or even Muddle entire groups of enemies in a single slash!

best thing about the yiga armour is that you can make all the sheikah npcs just go from "hi, o great hero and knight to princess zelda" to "ew get the frickety FRRRRRRIIIIICK away from me"

I wound up exploring the Great Plateau before I went to Kakariko village. I fought the Yiga clan on the plateau and got the Yiga Mask which I was wearing when I arrived in Kakariko. There was a bunch of bonus dialogue! “why would you wear such a thing, Link?”. Such a nice touch!

For pristine weapons, break the weapons then find the ghosts in the depths, they’ll have the pristine versions of the weapons you break. Use the earthquake move to save durability on weapons! (Unequip your weapons to nothing and charge attack). As for the final kohga fight, use fire then hit him 2 times and he flies into the wall for big damage

I had a thought. So in BOTW, when you beat khoga he falls in to the depths and that became a gimmick of the new game. In TOTK when you beat Khoga he is sent in to the sky/possibly space. So if the next game has some sort of link in space gameplay I’m calling it now. Lol

Technically you can wear the lightning helmet, because it's a Yiga replica. Making it technically a yiga armor piece. Also I feel like you should be allowed to fuse, aslong as the base is a yiga weapon.

Im pretty sure when you equip the master sword the yiga think you’ve killed link when you talk to the one that gives you the challenges

If you ever get the chance, fuse elemental items to longblades it adds the effect to the wind projectile.

I love the slapping sound every time a blademaster kills you.

cool idea for a run. it is a testament to how much replayability this game has. Glory to Master Kohga.

If you go to gerudo valley, there is a test behind a waterfall to become a yiga blademaster and doing it gets you a pristine eightfold longblade, which does I think 16-20 base damage maybe more

If you wanted a single handed weapon, you could’ve found one of the soldier spirits in the depths. They spawn pristine weapons after the decayed weapon has broken at least once.

I was thinking about good challenge runs and was like: “Yiga would be good,” Good for you for doing it.

Kohga's secret plan was actually to kill Ganondorf all along, he didn't really want to destroy the world he was just doing it for the Vine.

There would have been the shrine near where you fought master kohga in botw, and imo you should have been allowed to use blue lizal horns and silver lynel blade horns on weapons, as they fit the eightfold weapons well

Did you know that if you attach elemental lizalfos horns to an eightfold longblade, it will do the windcleaving attack but with the element you attached.

Fun fact the blademaster doesn’t notice even when you dont have the yiga clothing on he just says you look familiar

The yiga can actually pick up the master sword, even ones that aren’t really link, in botw, if you brought a yiga to the korok forest, it could pick up the master sword with the same animation as picking up a banana, and he wouldn’t drop it when killed so if this happens you could never get the master sword

Here's how attacking Seized Construct works: you hit him once to make him stumble, then the second attacks make him reel back. It wasn't your wind that was making him fly backwards.

I am trying the Yiga Playthought now myself after watching your video. Rules I am following are you can only wear Yiga armor set (as you do) and am not allowed to complete any of the regional "dungeons" to gain a sidekick. I can upgrade the Yiga Armor set by way of the Great Fairies. I can remove the Yiga armor so to infiltrate major cities and such. I can complete all Shrines to upgrade my health and stamina wheels. I can compete against Master Kohga and infiltrate Yiga hideouts in the depths, because in my mind, I am trying to overthrow both him and Ganon to become the top bad guy! I can use any weapon or shield I want, except for the Master Sword and the Hylian Shield. Also, should go without saying, no glitches allowed! Any other rules I should follow?

The Yiga entire set works like the monster masks and the Yiga members won't attack you anymore... ⬆️ - Well, that and sometimes you have not be being wearing any of the Yiga set because the needing to progress Yiga related stuff down in The Depths...
