The start to the new series building a 1993 toyota 4 runner with $10,000. In this series we will be doing a solid axle swap, dual transfer cases, suspension kit, and interior roll cage. But first we have to replace the head gasket on the Toyota 3.0 AKA 3 slow. Come with us on this journey and see what we can make out of this ordinary 4 runner.

I just bought a 1993 4runner on a whim...3 owner California car 160K manual...I cant wait to follow this series.....game one sir!

ive been researching my ass off learning all I can about this 3.0 and going thru to figure out whats up with this rig...so far we had a stripped rear axle fill nut fixed, code 52 knock sensor (put in a generic one on the outside of the block just to turn off check engine light, leaking driver valve cover (fixed), ripped out searing column lock fixed (bought at auction someone tried to steal it just stole the cat and destroyed the ignition.....the rig on the inside is MINT perfect interior all windows work fixed rear hatch window with a wiper bypass...also had a broken window on driver side rear fixed... please post another video!!!

you should try and do the most crawling with the ifs that you can. lockers and have some fun with the ifs till you find a axle or break the ifs bad.

I didn't do a SAS until I bent the LCA mounts doing a trail rated for 35s to 37s + one locker. I was on 29s, sliders, homemade skid plate for the front diff, chevy sprung rear, 4.88s, no front sway bar, and an aussie locker front. The torsion bar ifs will let you swap cv shafts out without taking the wheel off. And it's flanged so you don't have to worry about leaking oil on the trail. Never had swap a cv shaft out on the trail though. Keep the stock geometry and close to stock tire size and they last.

Really digging your channel and looking forward to watching this build, as Im currently working on my 3.0 91 pickup. Whats the name of that bender you ordered? Was looking at the Jd squared but would like to see more options.

Rouge fab m600 is the bender I got. It’s a good bender but there’s definitely more options out the the JD squared is a good bender also. But thanks for your input love to hear what everyone thinks about the channel!

@@wreakhavocoff-road7163 Not sure if your still lookin or if your anywhere near the Southern California area but there's a guy selling a nice looking 80's Toyota front axle already trusted and gusseted knuckles with FJ 80 Drag link and a choice of 4.88 or 5.29 3rd member. Hes asking 2 grand, I dont know the guy or anything I just ran across it on Offer up figured I'd pass along the info. Good luck.
