I love seeing Dev in there actually doing the drills with the other players. I know you just helping the players next to you, but performing the drills and practicing yourself motivates them. Being a real student of the game even if the lesson is coming from your peers. A lot of people act like you gotta be Kobe Bryant in order to gain knowledge from them. You can get gems from the man standing next to you. Got major respect for you as a trainer. Keep it going.

This is gold. Gives me a different perspective on how basketball can be taught. I think DJs breaking down basketball movements to the most finite small movements, and he repeats those movements over and over again to develop a strong foundation with the ball. Interesting stuff.

I love that a legendary college coach is still passionate about learning and getting better. A lot of you young players these days think knowledge is just supposed to come from nowhere. You are never too good to learn and take notes. Learn from people who understand the game and you'll always find something new. You only get to play this game for so long. Make it count. Rant over.

This is comical. White people are a funny bunch. You watch Black players play, study it and then want to come back and teach Black players like you're an expert on the mechanics. Watching the instructor you just know he couldn't execute those moves in 1 v 1 or game setting. 😂😂

Way to miss my point guys. Larry Bird one of my fave players of all time is white. I'm not saying White players can't play basketball. What I'm saying is from my experience of camps a lot of the coaches demonstrating moves are White and some of them like this guy can't even pull off the moves they're teaching. Yet, you find a lot of them populating these camps. If Black players are the best players how is it that White coaches are the ones demonstrating the moves at most of these camps? There is a disconnect. Why would anyone have the arrogance of demonstrating something they haven't mastered themselves? And as a serious player, why would you want to learn from someone who isn't the best or one of the best or demonstrated mastery of what it is they are teaching? This is why a lot of kids don't maximize their potential. They're learning from the wrong people. It cost me quite a bit in development listening to arrogant (and White) highschool coaches who actually didn't know the game, but had the job. I've played basketball enough in my lifetime to know that I'd rip this guy pretty much everytime. Just the fact of the matter. He's not that good. He lacks rhythm and is way too effortful in his execution - all signs of the absence of mastery.
