I stopped yeast for a day and immediately saw a difference. Our bodies have more than they know what to do with , once i figured that out, plus spraying my hair with water, aloe gel and glycerine, it becomes a lot more manageable. I have less dryness and flakes in my hair now + no itching going on 5 days with no wash. Before, i would have crazy flare ups minutes after washing. Maybe I’ll make some videos on this in the future

If his scalp is that red after removing the dandruff, the "dandruff" is probably scabbing. Scratching tends to make it worse if you don't treat the inflammation.

He’s got a tough case of psoriasis, SD, eczema or a combo of ‘em all! I’ve been told by a dermatologist that I have SD (and I’ve always had mild eczema growing up). I found that Changing my diet, NOT scratching my scalp/scales to bleeding, being mindful of what I put on my scalp that causes additional irritation, READING labels on hair ingredients (or making them myself from organic stuff in my kitchen) and using Kiti Kiti scalp products (black owned company) has really made a difference. I can go 2wks to up to a month without washing my hair and flakes are little to none. I always know I’m slippin in some area (namely diet/exercise/stress) when my scalp gets itchy/flaky and needing to be washed too soon. Almost like you have to train your body and scalp BUT it can definitely get better. Scratching it out is a temporary fix…gotta get to the root!

That’s seborrheic dermatitis. I have that condition like that too. He will need to see a dermatologist so they can prescribe him some medication shampoos. The scalp is pink due to flare up . If he doesn’t watch his diet also it will continue to flare up causing all these white flakes on his scalp. Sugar, dairy, starch, stress cause these conditions; it triggers the autoimmune system. Anti- inflammatory and omega 3 supplements will be your best friend to keep autoimmune system in check to prevent flare up.

Easy: Apple Cider Vinegar, baking soda, hot water. (1/4 cup ACV, 1/4 cup baking soda, 4 cups of hot water.) Soak hair in the mixture about ten minutes or get a spray bottle and spray your hair until it’s damp and then wear a plastic shower cap for ten minutes. Rinse thoroughly and repeat as many times as it takes. Then wash with shampoo (head and shoulders w/ tea tree.) Your hair should be 95% cleaner if done correctly. Then wash your hair regularly with the head and shoulders until it’s gone. Rub a tiny bit of hair oil on your scalp in between washes to keep from getting a dry scalp. Drink lots of water. If you hit the gym a lot like I do, wash more frequently. It’s gonna kill your retwist vibe but your scalp will never get like this again.
