This week, I'm sharing some stories about my art and cake background while I make a hyperrealistic avocado cake! Can you tell which ones are cake?

I skipped to the end to see if I could see the cake one before watching it being made and wow that's extremely impressive. I thought there was no way it could be that one. My money was on the one with the shiny pit for sure. I've never seen an avocado pit that clean looking before.

I got them both right and honestly idk how I just thought to myself “this one has to be it because it just looks like she did it. And if that’s wrong then this one is it (cuz I didn’t know there were 2 answers)” and I somehow got it right

I got the part without the pit because I could recognize the shade. And the part with the pit I was between the correct one and the one with a really *☆SMOOTH☆* pit. I guessed it couldn't be the really smooth one because you would never let a part of your cakes without texture and shades

By curiosity, when she told the story about how her family recognized her talent when she was a kid… anyone else thought like “damn my family never even acknowledged I exist, I can only wonder how that feels”? I was tricked cause yours looked more realistic than the real avocados. Whenever you put the cake next to the actual thing, I’m not usually tricked because I saw you make it, so this was so good! You’re getting even better each week! Keep tricking me!

i knew it was cake bc it looked too squishy lol usually the cake never looks as firm as the thing it’s mimicking. I even skipped to the end bc watching her make it, I’d get it forsure lol. I love guessing if it’s cake or not.

My Son is a very talented artist, like his Dad who graduated from Ontario College of Art in Toronto. My Son isn't interested in drawing or painting any longer. I first realized how talented he was when, like you, he drew a picture from a colouring book. It was Santa Claus, but with a weird twist; Santa was holding a pistol. I still have that drawing and for years wanted him to colour it. I think if he saw it now, he'd want me to toss it. You're a spectacular artist. I'm fooled 99% of the time with your hyperrealistic cakes!

I was expecting that the reason your family was so surprised is cause you took a lot more time in that particular drawing. But then your aunt went “she couldn’t have traced it, it’s a chalkboard!” Damn sis I feel offended _for_ you 😭 Edit: I genuinely didn’t know which ones it was 💀 The real avocado in the back looked faker than the fake cakes. When I went to high school, I didn’t have art classes for the 2 first years, there was no art classes, just dramatic art. I hated that, but for the rest of high school, we did have art. It was actually really fun.

I got it, but only because I'm ocd and my brain carefully logged the blemishes you painted. Specifically the large brown spot in the one corner. If I hadn't seen the process I wouldn't have had a clue. Great work, you're awesome 😁
