This video was very refreshing to listen to. I can totally relate to how I’ve learned I don’t have to spend top dollar to find a doll I love. I have been able to love an imperfect doll as well it just depends on what the flaw or imperfection is rather over time I end up selling it or not. Some of them I’ve kept and love more than even my nearly perfect dolls.

I'm glad you are bonding with her. She is a beautiful doll overall, but yes, annoying. I'm glad she is opening you up to new preferences in dolls. I have felt that way as well of becoming so bummed about reborns and wanting to sell everything. I have prototype dolls and as I stayed in the hobby longer and longer, I realized they aren't all that. Just the doll that is on the COA or the first(s) of the kit, but I've seen other dolls, some cheaper and by less well known artists that I love more than the prototypes. Yes, worry about you think because no matter what, people will always find a reason to judge you. That's amazing you still get to visit your childhood home and keep it in the family! I can understand about doubting your ability to bond with this baby. I had my one and only custom doll made. I had so much trouble with the artist, by the time I did finally receive her, I just couldn’t bond. She did have some imperfections that a friend of mine worked on. She definitely made her better. I really don’t think it was her imperfection that kept me from bonding but the actual bad experience I had just getting her. I did not keep her, I wanted her to go to someone who could love her. None of my dolls are high end and I have bonded with most of them. I do have a couple that I would probably sell if I wasn’t so afraid of dealing with the actual sale of the doll. I haven’t bonded with them but it’s not their imperfections, it is just not feeling a connection…I guess. I love the name Hazel for her. I think she is beautiful and I am so glad you have been able to develop a bond with her. This was quite the rambling comment…sorry! I hope it even made sense!

Most of my dolls are far from perfect, so depending on what it is, imperfections don’t usually bother me. Your baby girl is adorable!

Looking at her there are definitely names that just come to mind. She definitely looks like a beautiful little shiny star so star is definitely adorable for her but also autumn and then there is skyelar or just sky . Also amberlynn and even magenta. Hello dear friend, I'm very happy to hear that you are feeling good about your hobby and trying to let go of what anyone else may think. For me, there is no rhyme nor reason why I like or dislike a doll. Even though I hate the selling process with a passion, I know I will keep buying and selling dolls. I have noticed I like open eyed dolls then I want closed eyes. Same with size. Paint and varnish is important to me. I personally cannot do heavier mottling. I either like a doll sculpt or don’t. Painted hair or rooted, I need higher end. I guess bIm a bit picky but everyone has their style. For me, I need to have a style that I like or I won’t. bond. Most of my dolls are mid range. The doll is not imperfect, the artist chose not to paint the inside of the mouth, should she had taken photos to show this, yes, so that potential buyers could see all of the details before deciding if the doll is what they want, but the doll is absolutely beautiful!!

First of all, there is no such thing as a "perfect" doll. Just as there is no such thing as a perfect person. If you believe you are perfect, you are wrong! When you said you purchased cheaper clothes for an imperfect doll, I was shocked. What an awful thing that is. How ridiculous you possed "can you love an imperfect doll? "You have children and I bet you know they are not perfect. Hoever, you love them (Ihope). Sometimes people love imperfections in people and things the most. Denying a doll a name is really ugly.
