Those first buildings you got were Half life 2 (2004) background assets,and the better buildings you got from the toolbox after were Half life Alyx (2020) background assets.

how to fix it : just go to models tab then go to Edit pivot and deselect it ( it should work )

The way to fix that is going to the models tab and unselecting the Transform Tool (next to the rotate tool)

To change your tool to be the separate ones instead of them being mashed together, you just have to click them in the top bar thingy like you usually would.

Yes you can make one with free assets, im trying it right now and it isnt going too bad. Obviously i dont know if ill release it because its nowhere near done, but i am building stuff by myself. All im really using from the toolbox is material packs, furniture packs, face packs, and random models for small details. I do also insert accessories and clothing from the marketplace so i can get good "custom" player models. (: EDIT: I do also use scripts and audios from the toolbox. I don't think I've gotten I virus...yet. Sometimes I do upload my own audios when I can't find them on the toolbox. I'll tell you the type of game I'm making... basically it may or may not be wednesday related. I'm obsessed with the show so I thought I could "robloxify" it. Its...going. I've built most of the weathervane , the church, the front of Uriah heap, barely any of nevermore, crackstones statue, Edgar allan poes statue, and a few other small things. 😀 I think they look alright. I do have about three or four photos on the community section of my channel if you want to see them. This is the only comment I've revealed this project to. So if you see this, you're pretty lucky (:

Making a game filled with 90% free assets is bad practice, another alternative is using free models as a reference, sure it may take longer, but in the end you'll feel more accomplishment from something you worked hard for taking inspiration from others rather than the others doing hard work for you

The broken tools is the ‘edit pivot’ movement. To disable go to model-edit pivot and click it once

Question: How would a builder approach modeling? Like what should they practice modeling if it’s their first time. For instance Rocks, Trees etcetera.

Blender or Roblox modeling? If it's Blender, I highly recommend completing Andrew Price's doughnut tutorial. After, try creating something like an axe. You can search for procedural wood and metal materials tutorials on KZfaq to expand your knowledge of the shader editor. Then, learn how to bake those textures and export the mesh to Roblox along with the textures. For Roblox, it's all about getting creative with the primitives available. It might be worth learning about boolean modeling (union, intersect, negate) for more complex objects. In the end, whether I'm making meshes, blocking out something in Studio, or coding, I find it valuable to think of what I'm doing as a puzzle where I have to create the pieces to complete it. Don't forget to start simple and small; avoid attempting anything beyond too complex for your skill level. However you need to push yourself to make bigger, better, and more detailed things, just make small steps.
