With views like this every morning, I could never have a bad day. I worked in the four corners Texas Nevada California from mid august til a week before thanksgiving and I’ve never been more happier. Everything was such a experience. I think about those times a lot, even tho I was alone an working with new people it was so much fun. I feel so lucky I got to experience that more then I’ll ever express.

Left are old reefer California got flat bed ice machine on it and.brougjt it to caribou me. For broccoli season. 3 mpg air around it . Tarped it when went back 5 mpg. 84,000 never got permit or crossed scale Yuma ! Had 2 got big one on return . 10 years ago pay us 10 t bobtail out get it we hauled shit out . Reefer set few months was all good .

It’s when you pull up with only your truck and provide the power while the broker provides the trailer and load

I pull fedex and ups trailers and gross 75 to 8000 a week. Easy pay and no deadehead at all.

I'm looking to get into those loads. How did you go about acquiring them. I'm familiar with FedEx and USPS linehaul but I used to haul them when I was a driver for my old company. Now I'm owner op looking to get into the same thing. Any info would be great. Thanks

@@MrPragmatic An owner op with your own authority and business will not be able to do Fedex, UPS or Amazon. You have to go through a bigger company such as Mercer, Landstar, Bennett or Ace Doran. I pull for Ace Doran because they give the biggest percentage and no under table fees like most other owner op companies. Its more seasonal with Fedex and Amazon. UPS is almost year round. The pay is great but it does end. I typically go haul for the copper gold mines in Arizona in the off seasons. Its good consistent open deck freight that pays well as well. I use my own truck/trailer but Ace Doran has trailers to use as well. Their trailer 66% and your trailer 76%. The others give a bit bigger percentage but takes a bunch of fees. Ace Doran takes no fees at all. In the long run, its better to buy your own trailer with a steady monthly payment. I got my trailer before covid hit when they were cheaper. 611.17 a month for a brand new Transcraft step deck. Now they are about 1000.00 a month but still worth it. You can lose 2000.00 a month at 66% versus 76%.

not true. anyone can haul for Amazon as long as you paperwork is in order. only thing is...Amazon don't pat worth nothing.@@Rocksteady176
