Hey Tom. Great video. I met you at DeadCenter in OKC after I did my short (POC for feature). Moving on to features for the reasons you stated, BUT I would just add the biggest value I got out of the short was all the great connections I made and the learning process of it all. I realized, outside of hopefully getting traction for my feature, shorts aren't a great way to go bigger and better. Good if you want to win some awards, but not to get your vision out to the masses. Not a huge market for shorts as you said.

Thanks for reaching out! DeadCenter was a great time last year. I can't make it this year because I'll be at the Tribeca Film Festival the same dates. You're dead on what you're saying there... connections are great with shorts!

Your approach is valid and can definitely work, but there are a few key things to keep in mind. If your short film series can generate a following and build a solid audience, that can be a great foundation for funding a feature film. Just make sure each episode is high quality and adds value to your brand. Keep engaging with your audience and use their feedback to improve. Also, consider leveraging the success of your series to attract investors for your feature film. It's all about adding value and showing potential backers that your projects are worth investing in.
