You do realize when you say you have the right to self defence and want to buy guns at Walmart that the people you’re trying to defend against can also buy them at Walmart and makes it much likelier that you will need to defend yourself against them. When you have balls and don’t live in America you don’t feel the need to walk around armed as if you live in a war zone. You guys should try it I’m sure Russia has a lot less shootings in schools, playground, malls, parades, gas stations and countless other places because of their gun laws and they actually have rise. up against their government at least twice to take it down. Thinking that giving everyone a gun allows them to defend themselves is like thinking if everyone has a pool no one will drown. Easy guns, lots of murders. I think that’s been more than proven in the US case. No modern country in the rest of the world has the amounts of shootings the richest country in the world with all its self-defence rights has. Invest in providing for the people and watch how little self defence you’ll need instead of having little forts of overly wealthy people surrounded by a war zone. Just an idea you’ve made it this far as a nation maybe it can go on for another 250 years. Violence begets violence. Don’t get me wrong I don’t understand why you feel as you do, I would feel the same in America. Every time I visit I’m waiting to be shot or robbed but that’s the problem.

I took my exam at the end of last year, a practical and theoretical part, for a normal For thinking people, the exam isn't a problem. Now I just have to collect my shooting dates to get my first weapon. 12 months shooting 18 entries. Then you can buy a lot of things here. The basic quota is 2 pistols/revolvers, 3 semi-automatic long guns e.g. Ar15 etc. and ten repeating rifles lever action rifles. If you want more, you have to prove that you use it for competitions. What's bad is that we have to buy expensive safes.

I remember when I was 18 I went to visit my cousins in nebraska. We did some clay shooting in an open field and I was pretty good at it. They asked me how many guns I had in Australia, and I told them I didn't have any. They seemed confused because I was a pretty good shot. I told them I learnt how to shoot playing video games. Anyway, I found it strange that one guy with a pump action shotgun was drinking beer while trying to shoot the clay traps. It was winter... I guess they were bored

The problem in Russia is not that you can't own a firearm - you CAN. There's more bureaucracy involved, and you can't own a handgun, but you do have access to very powerful semi-automatic rifles. Problem is - if you use one to defend your life and the lives of your loved ones, you go to prison. Period.

Here in Austria gun laws are only Second (third really) only Czechs and Swiss. You can own any kind of Melee weapon as long as its not made to look like "Not a Weapon" and Knuckle Dusters are a No-no. As for firearms your Handguns are limited to 20 round Magazine capacity Max and for Self Loading Rifles 10 rounds. Main issue with guns here is the Price and the price of all the paperwork.

It was a remarkably interesting and enlightening video. I would like to know more about what the average Russian hunter and shooter uses in the field. What is the most common shotgun used for hunting birds and small game? What about bears and moose? I am not sure what kind of deer are in Russia but what is used for that type of game? I have looked at some Russian hunting forums and several hunters like semi auto firearms based on the AK type of action in larger calibers. The bureaucracy that one must go through is interesting. In all honesty, in the US that would not be tolerated too well. Most gun laws are at the state level. Since there are 50 states there are 50 sets of gun laws. It really depends on where you live or travel to. As an example, here in Wyoming I can lawfully shoot at varmints out of a vehicle on a two track dirt road. In my old home state of Massachusetts, if caught, I would face a hell of a fine and loss of my license to carry. Here in Wyoming you do not need a license to carry a firearm openly or concealed. But you do need a hunting license for small and big game as well as other types of game. Coyotes and prairie dogs( a type of large ground squirrel) one can shoot without any kind of license as they are classified as a pest.

Yes American society is compartmentlized with the individual on top .. an individual has rights protected by our constitutions.. we a free men when not bound by servitude( contract law ) it's complex now but I. 1776 it was straight forward and we'll understood the individual state citizen was recognized first by the state government and then naturalized.. but the states can almost do anything law wise because they have more reserved rights .. It's kinda complicated lol... but awesome.

I think ive seen 100 or more illegal pistols in 2 years in dagestan. In tuva for example the majority of houses have a gun but few have a permit mostly ak47s and sks rifles.
