He knows what he's doing, he is a great player. He posted a video of a "stranger" asking "can you shred?". That is where the cringe comes in. I am not biased against this guy alone, though. Just this type of trend among talented musicians, including the "acting like a beginner at a guitar store then jizzing on my own face while they say 'alright'".

This is a very good example of how in life attitude and personality is everything. This man certainly loves music and guitar and it shows, he really know his craft and it shows, he even has an articulate way of explaining concepts. But what makes all that fall apart is that sense of "need", the need for likes, approval or praise. A mechanism that exists to be accepted and accomplishes just the opposite. I keep subscribed because i feel that any moment now, that can be changed, and finally he can show himself freely and authentically
