I'd not yet seen your channel, and this just happened to pop up in my feed. This is just what I needed to know as my pool equipment has been moved, and the existing bond wire will no longer reach the pump and the heater. Seems like you're straight shooter, so subscription earned. Your presentation is succinct with no extra noise or other BS. The surge protectors from ICM seem like they might be a great product. But I would highly encourage them to stop calling a 120/240 Volt, Single Phase system by the name of a type of motor, ie "Split Phase". I know this error is rampant out in the wild and ignorant land of the Internet, but manufacturers absolutely should NOT be doing it as well. I try to avoid products from companies that do not use correct nomenclature as it undermines my confidence in them.

I watched your pool bonding 101 video. (I have installed an semi above ground pool in my yard. I want to semi bury on one side.) It’s my understanding from watching video that the purpose of the bare ground serves as a dual purpose ie: not only does it bond the water/metal parts but the earth surrounding pool as well? You suggested 4 to 6 inch burial around perimeter of pool. Obviously it’s easier to install the bare ground before any back filling. Is it a problem to back fill over it. There will be about 2 feet of back fill on one side and 6 inches on other

When I bond, my pools and I need to splice I like using scotch cote on all the splitbolts and any other bonding connection

My question : I installed a sub panel with # 10 ground from the another sub panel - I added 2 pole bar copperweld 5/8 x 8 ft conveyed to the new sub panel …. “ Can splice my # 6 solid copper to the new bars ?? To go all around the pool ?
