You definitely seem to be enjoying trucking alot more since you came over to tanker and stopped working as hard, I love to see it 👌🏾

😂 This tanker life is nice for sure! The other day was the first time I realized I rarely see dry vans unless I'm just on the road. Used to be strange to see a tanker in the lanes I was running - now its normal!

Hey I’m at prime and had a question concerning choosing a truck to lease. What’s a good rule of thumb for mileage?

Trucks that have not been used to team will likely accrues around 120,000 miles per year. That's basically 3,000 miles per week for 40 weeks a year. I take 12 weeks off of the year assuming drivers take a week off per month. That's a good place to start.

I’m currently at prime in the tanker division. I’m thinking about circon so I’m at home a little more frequently. How long was the training process?

Well won't be very long since you're already tanker. LOL I had to do 7 days or so. They wanted to see how I'd handle the surge and all. Not sure if you know my story, but I'd only done reefer and dry van prior to this - so it's all new for me.

@@TravisKinley oh yeah the surge definitely takes some getting use to lol. I’m studying to get my hazmat endorsement now. Once I have that taken care of I’ll do the application. I appreciate the info man!

The most I've gotten so far is for drivers to fill out an application to start the conversation. Our equipment does have to stay on their property, so unless they agreed to something, we are responsible for our commutes when we go home.
