My nursing advisor told me time after time that i needed to quit my job once i got into the nursing program but this was not an option. Is it possible to work while in nursing school? Do you need to quit your job to be able to go to nursing school?

Great video! I worked FULL TIME through my LPN, RN, and BSN programs! Not working was NOT an option for me.....well if I wanted to eat or have a place to live. This can be done, but there will be sacrifices.

That’s right! I worked full time as well and I’m a mom of two boys. I definitely could not have done it without support from my family but it can be done. My manager at the time told me I couldn’t do it and that was honestly all the motivation I needed!

just started my nursing program & currently working as a CNA 8-16 hours a week.. would definitely recommend working the least amount of hours to afford because it’s stressful!!!

This video was super helpful! I am about to start school in August and I'm super nervous about being able to balance everything.

Love this...I will be going to nursing school in the spring and making my nursing school videos and this is something I have been trying to figure out because I have worked all of college and I'm not sure if I can pull it off in nursing school but I am barely cutting it financially

Majority of people in my class worked, except the select few. I totally think you can do it, but it will be challenging, and you need to stay focused

Great video -- I worked as well, thankfully my job was super flexible with my schedule -- I worked in a senior home. Hahaha but you're right social life becomes absent 😂😃😀

I am suppose to submit my application to the traditional pathway. But every time I speak to a nursing advisor they tell me to apply for the CEP program. Which I am very nervous about bc I have a lot of bills. Plzzz send advice 🥲

You don’t have to apply to CEP, you will be able to find a job with just an associates. That’s funny that they tell you about this because my advisor never mentioned it. Especially if you are already concerned about financial stuff, I would hold off. You don’t need extra stress in nursing school

As a retired nurse whose been around the block, I would not recommend students to work more than 12-16 hours per week and I definitely not recommend working in health care. People tend to forget their place when they’re students. They tend to practice clinical nursing when they’re not qualified to do so. They don’t know when to refuse unlawful orders given to them by a narcissistic nurse with psychopathic traits or how to report such instances of unprofessional and unlawful conduct.
