Yes most collagen is not absorbed from bone broth .. collagen presence in the gut stimulates collagen production in the body but its not actually absorbed. The collagen will be broken down into amino acids which will be absorbed and those amino acids are protein so if you need to watch your protein intake include your collagen as well.

@Tiger.771 i dont know it was a custom made formula my practitoner put together. Ckd has different root causes sometimes. The way my practitioner assesses it is by looking at each individuals constitution very closely and custom tailoring the formula exactly to that individuals needs. My suggestion would be to find a holistic herbalist with alot of experience clinically.

Carb weight and fat weight are different. Carbs and water are added to your muscles for energy storage. When u consume a higher amount of carbs you're putting less fat in your body and your body is more likely to sparr protein. If you're low carb, the body will breakdown protein and even muscle tissue to make sure there is enough glucose in the body by converting it because glucose is the preferred source of energy for human body and it's what the brain and thyroid run on. So when people go low carb they lose water and energy weight in form of glucose and then you start to lose muscle weight. Going high carb and lower fat while meeting protein requirements and working out will increase muscle weight but lose body fat at the same time and because you're not adding in a lot of fat, you are more likely to lose body fat. Muscles weigh more then fat. That's why you can't always go by a scale and instead go by how you look and feel and not tie everything into the number on the scale. Progress pictures tell a better story. Weight always fluctuates throughout the day and will fluctuate even more if you are female because of varying estrogen levels throughout the month.

@@eagle2545 probably a few years is my guess, if you keep damaging kidney's though it won't heal or repair. Damaing kidneys like from supplements, creatine, pre-workout stuff for sports gym things, pills and the like foods that hurt kidneys, think spinage is a bad thing for kidney health.

Blood work and urinalysis can show if kidneys are damaged and kidney function is impaired. Imaging or biopsy would be needed to show scarring or fibrosis.

How did you get it down? There may be some connection but that could be normals fluctuation of gfr

We are basically from India, and alternate medicine like, homeopathy, ayurveda treatment are easily available here. So far, we have tried all the available options including mentioned earlier. They work for some time then again patient's condition starts deteriorating. One thing though, being stage 5 patient with the help of these alternative treatment she was able to extend dialysis for 2 years. But, no regeneration took place. Yes, after one year there was negligible improvement. So, the point is clean diet and good practices will certainly give you some time to arrange for a donor. May almighty bless everyone with good health.

A kidney panel or comprehensive metabolic panel with be able to provide kidney specific labs. Additionally a urinalysis can check for protein in the urine which can be a sign of kidney damage. The regular grocery stores don't have a lot of vegan food, so I'm going to try Walmart and Target. I'm also going to do a workout that's not so boring! Lol
