I made this for my granddaughter and it is adorable. However there were two problems. The tulle fabric stuck to her tights and she said it was itchy. I remedied the stretchiness of the band by running a satin ribbon through the holes so she could tie it. And I will make a satin underskirt to solve the itchiness and snagging.

Thank you for this video. I started to make this tutu for my kiddo and it is turning out so stinkin cute. It is very easy!!! Plus it's saving me $25. The last time I got a tutu it cost me $30! It's going to be for her Superhero birthday party, she is dressing up as batgirl. Of course batgirl needs a purple tutu. :) Thank you.

Making one for friends newborn as a photo prop. The nylon bath scrunchies/ sponges at dollar tree and Walmart are inexpensive and soft for newborn skin.

Love this video. Finished my little girls tutu last night and I love it. Problem is I left it on the base over night and now the headband is too stretched. Any last minute ways to fix it?! Should I cut it in the back and tie it up? I am so bummed out... I'd love to share pictures so everyone can see how easy your tutorial is and how it turns out!

someone posted above that she just added ribbon weaved in the holes on the top to tie around the waist and make a pretty bow!!! perfect solution!!!!

These are cardboard tubes found at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. They are in the area near the cement. I think he named it at the beginning. I use them for my rabbits to play in outside. :):)

He got it at a hardware supply store like Lowes, Home Depot, etc near the cement, building supplies area. You can also use the back of a chair or something like a box of cereal.

These crochet headbands do stretched. They are made out of yarn and elastic.

I did the exact same thing the first time, but I learnt that you have to do it on a small tube before actually trying it on. So only wear it once lol

Did you ladies come up with a solution for an over stretched tutu? I made mine last night and I love it.... I went to try it on my little girl and it's way too big. Should I make a new one or is it possible to fix the size? Should I removed some ribbon from a section and try to make it smaller by cutting it? I'd love to hear if you ladies found a solution or if I need to redo my tutu

+Erin Ryan Sure! :) 1. u can sew a bit inwards 2. make another one, but start w/ a smaller headband. Hope this helped! :)
