Guelph ൽ എന്റെ friend ന്റെ വീട് ഒരു വർഷം കൊണ്ട് 5 മലയാളികൾ കുട്ടിച്ചോറക്കി കൊടുത്തു. ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ ബാച്ചിലർ അല്ലെ അതുകൊണ്ട് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒക്കെ എന്ന്. എന്താണെങ്കിലും നോട്ടീസ് കൊടുത്തു ഒഴിവാക്കി. കണ്ടതിൽ ഏറ്റവും വൃത്തികെട്ടവർ നമ്മുടെ മലയാളികൾ തന്നെ.

Renting a house is a whole job on its own so I have noticed it’s stressful. Especially countries like US and Canada where the laws are more in favor of renters rights. We have decided not to buy any investment property in US but we are considering buying a flat in Kochi to rent out. Our families can use the extra income and indulge in it as something to do while they are retired and it’s no stress to us. It will be in our name so we have something saved up for our retirement.

One of the reason is landlords itself, I had a good job and was looking for a basement for rent for a family of two with a baby, I went to 2 Malayali landlords and their rent for 2bed basement was 2300 including utilities. They both had bought houses in 2017 wen their rates was very less and their mortgage itself was 2200. I mean if people are not so greedy then many of things are easy

@alexkurian5734 IT is all supply and demand, and supply is reduced artificially by zoning laws to benefit current landlords. The entire issue of high rent can be magically solved by just two strokes, 1) Ban AirBnB 2) Make getting permits easy. Anyone who brought houses before the market boom see their rental income multiply and are making crazy money. The problem is that most of the folks who vote fall into category of home owners and there is no incentive to change this until market forces correct this as the immigration reduces.

ഹായ് ചേട്ടാ ഞാൻ ഒരു സംശയം ചോദിച്ചോട്ടെ. നാട്ടിൽനിന്ന് ഒരു power of attorney വേണ്ടി. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്ന് കാനഡയ്ക്കു അയച്ചാൽ. അവിടെ എവിടെ നിന്നാണ് അത് സൈൻ ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്. പറഞ്ഞുതരിക ആയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ വളരെ ഉപകാരമായിരുന്നു.

ഇത്രയ്ക്കു പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ആണെങ്കിൽ പിന്നെ എന്തിനാ ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ മൂന്നും നാലും വീട് വാങ്ങി വാടകക്ക് കൊടുക്കുന്നത് ? അതും ഒടുക്കത്തെ ആർത്തി അല്ലെ? 3 ബെഡ് വീടിന്റെ മുകൾ ഭാഗം 3000 -3500 $ വാടക വാങ്ങും അത് കഴിഞ്ഞു ബേസ്‌മെന്റ് ഒരു ചെറിയ അടുക്കള സെറ്റപ്പ് ആക്കി 1500 -2500 കൊടുക്കും. ഞാൻ US നിന്നാണ് ഇങ്ങോട്ടു വന്നത്. ഇവിടുത്തെ ഈ ആക്രാന്തം കണ്ടു ശരിക്കും ഞെട്ടി പോയി

@@driverappappn അവിടെ 6 മാസം ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ മക്കളുടെ അടുത്ത് ഇരുന്നപ്പോൾ തീരുമാനിച്ചതാണ്, പുറത്തിറങ്ങാൻ പറ്റുമെങ്കിലേ ഇനി അങ്ങോട്ടുള്ളൂ എന്ന്. അത്ര ക്കു stress ആയിരുന്നു. അതിനാണ് driving licence എടുത്തതു തന്നെ.😊

@@driverappappn Yes. We won’t have any direct connection with the tenants. our agreement will be with the property management company and they will be responsible to pay us what we agreed with them and responsible to evict the problematic tenants.
