I have to say that first face to face encounter made me laugh out loud. My only experience with Newfoundland was back in the 70's when we had to do a quick landing to fuel up. I never forgot how beautiful it looked from the air. Great hunt

Moose are abundant here. They are an important part of our food supply. That moose fed multiple families. The license to harvest that moose was issued by the government who pays biologists to monitor and study populations to ensure sustainability

Wild game is the most renewable, the most sustainable, the most organic, the most lean, and the most environmentally friendly meat source on the planet

That is probably as big as that moose would get. Not all antlered animals get to be the same size

"Newfinlan" all one word, omit the d at the end. 😂 I don't know anybody here who actually pronounces the d.
