About Me
My name is Brandon Herrera. I'm the owner and operator of The AK Guy Inc, a 07 Firearm Manufacturer based out of Fayetteville, NC. I also co-own Stark Media Group, and designed the rifle known as the AK-50.
I've started to dedicate this KZfaq channel above all to have fun, but also as a way to document my entrepreneurial journey for the next few years as I try to grow my companies. Hopefully, people can learn from my example, successes, and failures.
Either way, I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, and I hope it's just as fun to follow along!

@@Generik97 also the law directly states natives can keep theirs for the purpose of hunting until they can find and acquire a suitable replacement. Now if they are unsuitable for hunting (all the firearms on the list) why is there that exemption?

@@woodslore8537 If you want a brief answer, the native exemption was most likely put in as a result of s. 35 of the constitution, which grants native groups rights in certain circumstances. When it comes to hunting etc, utilizing firearms and potentially specific firearms for a given native group can potentially manifest itself as a right. Hence the need for their continued use of these prohibited firearms until a suitable alternative is found. That's in sharp contrast to the Canadian population in general who have no right at all to firearms. The liberals specifically adding in an exemption for native groups likely serves two purposes, one being political, but more importantly it acts to avoid a clear constitutional challenge which could result in the legislation being struck down completely. As a Canadian, I can tell you that the only untouched semi automatic rifle is the holy M1. No detachable magazine, .30-06 is an unregulated and relatively cheap cartridge, and it doesn't look scary cause it's wooden. The weapon of choice for a true anti fascist still stands strong

@@milesd3928 in switzerland you can have ammo, the reason why some pople think you can't is peoberbly because the military stopped giving you a bix of ammo if you kept your gun after your service, because the suicide rate was too high. basically you can't own ammo that is subsidised by the government. buying your own is fine though and is only as complicated as buying a firearm.

Yup, you can tell this was an intentional choice of timing because the recent Nova Scotia shooting isn't even related to it... This is a bill Trudeau was already planning on trying to get passed, and he saw an opportunity to pass it completely against the will of Canadians and the parliament.

I’m Canadian so perhaps I can shed some light on this topic. The ban was made by using Order In Council, a method for the prime minister to bypass parliament in cases of a national emergency. This isn’t the first time the liberals have abused OIC for gun control purposes, and every time they’ve tried, they drop it before it goes to the Supreme Court because they know they’ll lose the case legally speaking. The ban will expire in May of 2022, and I doubt it can be renewed because the courts are tearing it to shreds because it has no leg to stand on.

That doesn’t mean they can’t renew it, however that’s unlikely now because the case is being reviewed by the courts and it’s probably going to the Supreme Court. The libs will HAVE to drop it before that happens. As for the confiscation, I can’t find anywhere that says you have to give them up. As far as I know the people who already own those newly prohibited class firearms get to keep them, they just are treated now like the other prohibited class guns. Can’t take them anywhere without an ATT (authorization it transport)

The Canadian “assault weapons” ban was done with no opposition because prime minister Trudeau stopped the Canadian parliament from meeting after he asked them for unlimited power for 18 months and they told him no. This ban was put in place without any part of the democratic process, which if I’m not mistaken is a violation of the Canadian charter of rights and freedoms.

@Eric Pope The 2019 law didn't change a lot, the difference is mainly for the >10 rounds for long guns and >20 rounds for hand guns. For theses you need to had the gun before the change (and make a new registration for it) or have a collection or go at the range 5 times in the next 5 years. We can still buy machine gun (more complicate but possible) We also still can buy "slow to reload" long gun with no permit, just an identity card and if the seller ask for it, a "non violent record". But thanks to this change we are now completely safe against terrorism.

After 5 years of owning a shotgun, I know that Russian citizens can get a license to own a rifle, including an AR-15 or AK-47, though I've heard from Russians that AKs are much more economical over there than ARs are. It's literally easier to get a semi-automatic shotgun over there than it is to get a bolt action .22, but whatever, they can still legally get semi-automatic rifles. It just takes a long time.

Here in Croatia,semi-auto rifles are legal if you have a gun license as long as they have up to 10 round mag,that includes AR15 style rifles. I've seen one gun store in my town selling Daniel Defense MK18,but it's really expensive,being sold for around 2700 euros (for comparison,a full auto AK47 costs around 500 euros on the black market). Ironically,even though there's a bunch of full auto AKs (mostly Yugo M70,though there are some Russian, Romanian and other AKs too) left over from the war in the 90s,and even though Croatia now produces its own VHS2 assault rifle for the military and police,there's neither a 10 round semi auto only AK nor VHS2 available on civilian market,at least from what I've seen so far.

You can own an AR-15 in Germany if you have a valid hunting licence or if you are in a gun club/association that offers legal sports competitions for semi-auto rifles. A hunting licence involves a lot of courses, studying and exams, which costs at least 2000 Euros to get. The other way, gun clubs that offer semi-auto rifle competitions, are relatively hard to find and you'll have to go there regularly and prove that you are training regularly and taking part in competitions. Gun clubs for hand guns or bolt/lever action rifles are around every corner, these are easier to obtain. As far as I know, you can more easily buy and own an AR-15 or similar in Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark and Finland. I don't know anything about other European countries but I'm sure they can't be much worse than Germany.

Lautaro Onorato In Afghanistan every male has the legal right to own one rifle, no restrictions (except it not being crew served-I think), and the AK47 is the most common simply because everyone imported so many of them. To carry a pistol concealed you have to have written permission from the Provincial Police Chief (in 2009 if you travelled between provinces you needed one permit for each province you were traveling through armed)....

Switzerland here, with a 2019 amendment to the gun legislature you can now buy a semi-automatic rifle that is longer than 60cm and can shoot at that length with a regular gun permit, as opposed to pre-2019 when you could buy an 8 inch AR with just a regular permit. now, if you want anything shorter than 60cm or want to use magazines greater than 10 rounds in a shoulder weapon or greater than 20 rounds in a handgun you need a special permit that costs the same and simply requires you to outline in a letter your reasoning for buying that weapon. there has always been a gun registry, and you have always been able to buy full-auto guns and suppressors with a special permit.

@@semi-useful5178 yes. you need to own at least 5 firearms to qualify as a collector, then you can use that as a justification for purchasing a machine gun. there are no guidelines as to what constitutes a collection that I'm aware of, so mine is literally "firearms that I find interesting and can shoot".

@@shady473gamingcm3 I'm a regular citizen, and I've been issued permits. it's very transparent as far as I'm aware.
