Right? I love when tech pops in, it makes the Moonbase feel more alive and lived in, somehow. Paul cracking jokes, Ben laughing offscreen on North 100, James "um actualing" during TTC, the tech playing with the HUD on Dice Friends... it's always great.

I always adore when Paul or Heather or whoever's on Tech says something, or you hear Adam ranting in the background, or Kathleen popping in to say hi or whatever. It makes for a very lively, lived in stream/vid. Very cozy!

Last week I was playing Centurion (an Italian 1v1 EDH variant) and I was paired against a returning player piloting a then-tier 1 midrange pile. I dropped an Initiative card, explained them its functioning and saw them progressively descend into madness, then utter disgust, then madsgust.

Hey just wanted to say I love the content! I also just wanted to say that you can stack your ephemerate rebound trigger under the undercity one, find a creature, then decide if you want to cast the ephemerate or not. For example, you could get the timeless witness, return something like white plume to hand, then ephemerate the timeless witness, if you want

Was wondering if an Initiative deck in black with Recurring Nightmare be worth doing? Maybe either in Mardu, Abzan, or Sans Blue 4-Color. Just generating repeated value on ETB creatures like the normal Recurring Nightmare midrange deck, but now the Initiative gets involved.

The inititave is great because it turns from a meager get a basic into a alright +2/+2 effect into finally lava axe. You dont need to even finish the dungeon that only happens if your opponent doesnt die thats why its such an insane emblem to get out. The creatures can be ancient tomb'd in too! All you really need is a viglance creature

I have a probably very wrong hot take, but I think ephemerate is genuinely more powerful than ancestral recall when played in a game that is going to last more than 3 turns. The number of times I’ve seen that card single handedly draw WAY more than 3 cards or just win the game on the spot is ridiculous. I hate it so much.

as a non-dev, all we can do to draw attention to poorly balanced mechanics is use them and show how oppressive they can be. Edit: I guess being on the CanLander council Wheeler has some input on pointing, but I don't think any individual Initiative card hits that cutoff.
