Canadian Military March - La Feuille d'Erable

The Official March past of the CIC. No copyright infringement intended.
I uploaded this because i couldn't find a copy of it anywhere on youtube or on the internet. Finally I found an MP3 and thought I'd share it. I reference Alot of my Cadets to youtube to play along with the songs while they practice. Like the video if it helps you too!

Omg I remember being a cadet and hearing that 10x a day. I never got sick of it. I'd hum it all day and kept doing it long after I'd left Val Cartier. Damn I miss it.

I had a different experience. At annual parades we heard "Ad Astra Per Aspera". And having earned my power pilot wings through Air Cadets, this melody still rings in my heart. "To stars through adversities"

I'm a cadet in the Canadian Army Cadets (cadet corp 2768, the only vandoos affiliated corp in the whole of the Gaspé peninsula) and to hear this song again only brings back so many memories from when I was at Val Cartier for my 2,3, and 6 weeks courses (doing another 6 weeks this year). All that to say THANK YOU! for posting this I've been looking for it for ages!

@TheMemorialStorm Nope. I'm a CIV for an Air Cadet squadron and deal largely with the band, Which means I have access to music resources and this MP3 was on one of the disks. I use this video for my Cadets to play along with to practice.

@PhilharmonicJack Perhaps. I didn't think it through so much at the time. I deal with (and always have dealt with) the Air cadet part of the program so I just threw the RCAF flag on there as the CIC is indeed part of the CF, and RCAF.

All right, follow us for just one week and we'll see who the pansy is.... Don't forget that over half of CIC (myself included) have both Cadet experience as well as reserve/regular service experience... And to be honest, I really don't give a darn if YOU don't have any respect for me, I've got plenty of respect coming from the reg & res guys & galls already...don't need more...

You'll find it if you search up the Canadian cadets march book. It's a big document of all the songs we play including this one.

@@Hilton2013 I am in fact aware of the march book; sadly none of the songs there are the original versions. And the not-simplified version is something I'm hoping to find someday.

You mean the actual salute in a military ceremony or is that a piece of music? Cause usually, during a general salute, the music platoon will play a fraction of the Canadian national anthem.

ClanofPlanetX I'm sorry Canada is a country that contains two; The Dominion Quebec Really is that simple. Each have their own flag The Dominion is the Red Ensign replacing the French with the Welsh Iron cross and the Quebec flag.

finalfrontier001 though i may joke about and take a piss on the French rather often, i still respect Quebec and those from there. They are my countrymen and some of this country's hardest badasses come from there. besides, the French and English Canadians have a rather good relationship. You guys held a vote for Quebec when they wanted separation and are rather open about topics like that. Topics that tore my native Yugoslavia apart in the most bloody war since WWII.

finalfrontier001 I'm French canadian and I'm maybe and I think I come from Canada, my country, before I come from quebec province, and each person in quebec province think the same thing.
