The appointment of Jennie Carignan as Canada’s new chief of the defense staff has made her the first woman to hold the Canadian military’s top job. Glenn Miller, president of Lethbridge United Services Institute, and veteran member of the Royal Canadian Legion, applauded the recent announcement made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

I'd only feel safe with a woman in charge, if it was The Iron Lady, Margret Thatcher. But in Trudeau's Canada "Cause it's 2015", we'll just have to wait and see how this works out. I'm more shocked at the fact that she's an actual woman. Since anyone can be a woman these days.

This officer commanded field engineers. Anyone who knows anything about the Canadian Army knows that isn't an easy task.

If women can do anything a man can do then how come a women has never been able to get through Navy seal training ? This is in part why the military is in such bad shape . Hard pass !

@@momzilla9491 Birth is no different than the loaf I dropped this morning. Do I get accolades for this ? And less than half of women do their duty to birth the next generation. For these reasons I say women should get no special privileges of any kind.
