"It's about being proud to be an American, but it's mostly about what's happening all around the world with governments and certain activists trying to shut down free speech, banning people off social media for stating inconvenient facts they don't want shared, not being allowed to express an opinion anymore, agendas being pushed on us and you have to support those agendas or be cancelled, etc. That's not just a problem in America so anyone experiencing that problem in their own country can relate to this song. Not sure if the clip was edited because of Canadian laws, or fear of copywrite issues. Just seems to have detracted from an honest reaction. If it's the Canadian restrictions on freedom of speech, at least that would be one of the reason Tom migrated to the US, and we're all the better for that.
