If you are in the UK, you should bear in mind that Tim Hortons don’t make anything on the premises. Everything arrives at the store frozen and is heated up to make it appear freshly baked. Along with cheese, one of the things I miss most about the UK are the bakers shop. Tim Hortons might have greater variety of toppings, but their donuts will never come close to something a local bakery has just made fresh. Independent bakers are common here, but. Plenty of people will drive past twenty Tim Hortons to get to a place where the donuts are made on the premises.
@Karma-df2gm

That's essentially the same way it is in Canada too ever since Tim Horton's was bought out by an American company RBI. Tim Horton's in Canada has gone really downhill. Good news and bad news. Bad news is they are not that good anymore. Good news is we got a whole lot of them. They are convenient. That's it.
@charlestaylor9424

Real bakers are disappearing and Greggs the warmer upper is taking their place. I won't call Greggs a baker because you can't buy bread there. The sausage rolls are crap and their choice is so limited.

I don't understand why they don't have soups, sandwiches and bagels like in Canada. That would hit so good on a cold winter's day.
@njam101

Because they are all factory-made and really bad. I'm guessing that the UK has many better options out there for those products.

I’m British and I lived in Canada for a year. I would go nearly every day as there was one on my uni campus. I thought the UK Tim’s was really similar to their original Canadian counterparts! To put it simply, it tasted the same to me! Gutted they didn’t take my Tim’s Rewards card though 😂

After a brief pause she replied in her very French accent 'I have been to Tim Horton's many times. But, you know, I have never found coffee there'. Cutting.

Thank you for the heads-up about there being a Tim Horton's in Kent. I live near Folkestone, but I took my wife on a surprise trip to the Gravesend branch today. We haven't been to Canada for quite a few years, but she said it was a reminder of our first foreign holiday together. We both tried chicken burgers with lattice fries, and our experience with that seemed a bit better than yours. We visited at lunchtime though, so probably our food was freshly cooked. I gather that a branch is going to open in Margate, which will be a bit closer for us.

I’m sorry you had to go to Gravesend but I hope you enjoyed your Tim Horton’s. It used to be a Pizza Hut years ago, and the Lidl used to be AMF bowling before it merged with the smaller Lidl next door and became a mega Lidl. As teenagers we used to go bowling and then to Pizza Hut in the school holidays. Good times 🥲

There used go be Tim Hortons restaurants in New York City but only briefly. I believe they were closed in 2015. And that's a good thing for me because I won't be walking miles and miles to get a) those gorgeous donut holes, an amazing array of flavors and you seem to like them, (b) that maple and cream filled donut (I don't know of anyone around here that sells maple donuts, but if it's as good as it looks, I'd be addicted to them immediately), and (c) the Ice Cap that looks like a chocolate shake. Thanks for a fun episode! I'll be seeing those yummy items in my dreams!

I just love a hot dog (Frankfurter) from time to time, but...If I am buying off a vendor, I want it hot, in a crusty mini-baguette, with lightly fried onions and have all the sauces available to squirt on. Maybe even cheddar cheese gratings on top. A mug of dreadfully cheap instant coffee to go with it would top it off to perfection!
