I'm definitly here for the v8, sorry if you feel it's stealing the headlight but it's just so awesome. With all that motor i'm really curious about what different pump/impeller setups woulld do to it. I'm so pumped (hehe) seeing it probably is in the mid to high 80's already.

It's nice to see all the hard work you've put into it and figuring stuff out pay out and you're able to enjoy it and destroy everything that lines up beside it.

It's not your everyday jet ski but the 6.0 liter V8 LS sweet sound ,torque and acceleration is priceless!!!

The weight helps alot, some of the faster jet skis I've ridden bounce at top speed so they lose suction from the bouncing and end up slowing down at full throttle

I didn't think about the alternator as a problem. Another one of those things you encounter when you push genuinely do something new and push the limit. This isn't a lego set. This is real.

You have got to fabricate a Place Diverter type nozzle. I guess while you are at it and surely have figured the pump is the limiting factor here you need all the boat tricks converted to a ski. A droop snoot and with a place diverter would have you throwing water all over the place..

I wasn't sure but but you said whether it was a one wire or two wire alternator but I suggest a one wire marine application not that the other alternator won't work but the one wire really is a solid alt

you can get a water cooled alternator which is basically waterproof. They made them in old 02 bmw 7 series and I am sure they make them for an LS, what dont they?!

I wonder if any gains would be had by swapping to a very small alternator. You have essentially no electrical load compared to a whole car. Its just excess weight and heat. Maybe even a light weight lithium battery too?

Both awesome jet ski's! Been watching the channel for awhile now, always love it! especially the Superjets & Stand-up's lol. Love the X2's & WB's as well! What year Hull is the Yamaha GP1200? Looks like the older one that's before the SMC, which is adds another 80-100lbs i believe just because of the material/design changes for the SMC. When did the SMC Hull start for yamaha gp's? 2001+ GP's? Also what motor is in it? GP1800R NA motor or SVHO motor? Sounds like the NA version. One thing i noticed is that the weight of the V8 engine and bigger Hull definetely helps you hook up and stay flatter on top speed runs especially in Rougher Waters.. Very Impressive!! Any plans to upgrade the V8 any further, or even S/C it one day? Lol

Something to think about that I learned while working at a boat dealership, vehicle motors aren't built with the same quality parts as a marine motor. Marine motors are designed to be able to run at high rpm's all day, car and truck motors are not.

Dang you have two of the baddest skis in the pacific northwest! This video was awesome! I can’t believe that it was walking away from the JSB Interceptor like that! That should tell you right there that this is an 80+mph ski! Imagine if you had a glass calm day and some time to play around with the trim and riding position to get as much top end as possible! Look up something called “Jim’s ride plate” for the fzr. It looks like he just mills the center section of the ride plate a few degrees so that instead of it being flat it angles upward as you move towards the sternmost end of of the ride plate. Jacob could easily duplicate that by machining that same angle onto the stock ride plate. It supposedly makes a big difference.
