Nice! Love this show. I see you came to Pilehenge in Winnipeg. Sorry to disappoint everyone, but Pilehenge is actually quite lame (but, I'm sure Canadiana will make it seem vastly more interesting than it really is with their amazing storytelling).

Thanks! We actually filmed there years ago, only hours before a flight out of Winnipeg. While the true story is a little bland, it was quite an enchanting experience being there as the sun went down. One day we will put that small video together for social media--we've been almost entirely focused on the third season.

Very excited to watch your new videos guys! You find the most interesting never before talked about stories in Canada. And the detail you put into the editing and animation really helps tell these stories beautifully. Thank you for all the Ottawa love you’ve shown in the past. My hikes past the Carbide Wilson ruins are so much more interesting. And on my trip last year to Quebec City I was really able to nerd-out while recounting the stories you shared from there. Appreciate you guys beyond belief. Mike

Thank you so much for this message. It's comments like this that get us through the editing/animating grind. We're glad that the stories we've helped shared have stayed with you--that's exactly our hope. We filmed in both Ottawa and Quebec City again for Season 3! Both cities are so rich with incredible stories that they are like second-homes for the series. We hope you enjoy the next season!

Just one feedback that I really hope you hear : "French-Canadian" is an offensive reductive exonym when talking about the Québécois people, it's like "indian" for indigenous people. That's all I have to say beside that, my one request.
@hillbilly23
@hillbilly23 2 жыл бұрын
I'm french canadian and proud of it. What you separatist are doing is disgusting! I am truly embarrassed by the word Quebecois. We have alot of natives "indians" in and around our community and they despise the word indigenous. It's a government word.
@fraserhenderson7839
@fraserhenderson7839 2 жыл бұрын
As it is an English expression, I am surprised that "French Canadians" are paying any attention. There is an effort by Quebec government to eliminate English in their province and I don't feel an obligation to pussyfoot around such offensive and socially divisive BS. What do "French Canadians" call English speakers? Probably not anything flattering.

@@hillbilly23 Québécois doesn't have anything to do with sovereigntism, even federalists describe themselves as such, it's a nation, like being scottish or tibetan. If these individuals for some reason preffer an archaic culturally inaccurate label put by foreigners to describe them over one at least more culturally accurate, it's their choice, I respect that even if I don't quite get it. But you sincerely must at least agree that the leaders of the first nations certainly don't often use the term with pride in public in recent years. Yeah, the right of people to rule themselves and save their culture is such a disgusting thing indeed am I right...

@@fraserhenderson7839 We call them canadians, anglophones or anglo/english-canadians, nothing less. Sorry to disappoint you, pal. It's not symmetrical. And here goes the double-standard again, Danish people can inforce Danish in their land for cultural survival and no one mind yet when Québécois do the same right for the same reason it's suddenly the biggest apocalypse in the universe. Alberta in 1905 with the Language act, Ontario in 1912 with Regulation 17 and Manitoba Thornton Act of 1916 legacies certainly don't seem to bother you. It's one small francophone David trying to survive the north american anglophone juggernaut Golliath. It's not symmetrical, Quebec bashing is real. I just experienced it right now. This is what changed me from a hardcore federalist to an ex-federalist in just a few years. I'm very interested in foreign histories, that's all, why are you surprised?
@hillbilly23

@@Game_Hero I stand 100% behind my comment and I guarantee you I am not alone. We are canadian no matter the province or territory.in our community If there's no canadian flag accompanying the quebec flag they are separist. The government didn't like the word Indian so they used "aboriginal". Indians stuck with native and now the government is pushing indigenous. Your antics are what's driving the hate towards quebec.
