many foreigners think that if you don't reach high notes during the song it's not a good result, it doesn't seem like a correct way to judge an artist.

Angelina Mango's song is that despite not having a classic Italian sound, it embraces the style of many countries, from Colombia to Spain, from the Balkans to the small towns of the far south of Italy, accompanied by this gypsy style. Then it must be said that the Sanremo Festival is a very ancient musical contest where Eurovision itself was inspired. The Sanremo festival is the father of music competitions.

Correct analysis. In reality there is very little Latin American music in this song, perhaps just in the passage where he says "cumbia... ballo la cumbia...". For the rest it is an alternation of Salento Taranta with the accompaniment of wind instruments that echoes Balkan music and the melodic breaks typical of Neapolitan songs and a bit of rap in between. Honestly, I think it's brilliant.

REMEMBER... Sanremo IS NOT a National FInal. Italians get quite cranky when people blur that line. LOL 2016 was an interesting case , because the Band that won were older men, who already had a concert tour scheduled, and they wanted to give the ESC chance to 2nd place Francesca Michielin (NOT MIchelin), who was a rising comet of a young star back then.. She is now established and looked at like Marco Mengoni in terms of being a "Cantautore" (singer/songwriter).

It is rare to see an American girl, or some other nationality, doing these things, with such knowledge about the famous Sanremo festival. Usually there are people who do these things, these reactions on KZfaq, who talk without knowing what they are talking about. This girl, on the other hand, knows the Sanremo festival and the various artists who participate in it very well. She knows what she is talking about. Brava ! 👍 👏 And greetings here from Italy ! 🇮🇹

@@AmericasESC Prego ! 👍 You are welcome ! You know, too many people on KZfaq are doing things like this, doing reactions, without being prepared, without sometimes even knowing what nationality an artist is or what language they are singing in. Doing this work on KZfaq requires a minimum of preparation and not, as we say in Italy, jumping into things with your eyes closed without knowing what you are talking about. Today there is the Internet, in a few seconds one has all the information one needs. Even, for example, when many people say they don't know what a song title means or how to pronounce it. Even then just open Google translator and see both the meaning and also hear the pronunciation from a native speaker. Cari saluti qui dall’Italia ! 😊

I have to say in Italy there is so much music and research every year, So much innovation and personality, they risk to take new things , original songs to eutovision trying new kinds of rythms and expressions . They present songs in original language , italian, which usualy have beautiful lyrics and clever messages but because of the language barrier eurovision public can't understand it.
@lbhh3 ай бұрын
Sanremo is the most important contest for italians. Its not to choose the song for eurovision. The big prize is to win Sanremo, not to go to eueovision. It has happened that sometimes the winner didn't want to go to eurovision. Sanremo is made for italian music and for italian public. At eurovision they could like it or not, because public is different and because the language barrier, but its not important. The main point for Italy is to show the world what music italians are doing now.

22:48 i'm sorry but you're wrong. Emma DIDN'T win Sanremo in 2014, the winner was Arisa with the song Controvento. In 2014 Emma was chosen internally by the broadcaster Rai. The last solo woman winner of Sanremo that in the same year represented Italy in ESC was Gigliola Cinquetti in 1964.

Great to see that you have such a knowledge about this competition. For me the best entry this year was by Annalisa. It's the most memorable song and even if it didn't win it's still very popular even after month has passed since competition. Also her cover night was amazing, that Sweet Dreams cover was just too good and refreshing. Ever since hearing her song Bellissima she became my fav artist and her late album is just a masterpiece.

The main characteristic of the song "La noia" is that it blends different musical genres, South American and Mediterranean,and is sung in at least 4 different ways. I make my prediction: Eurovision 2024 will be won by a woman, the song will be in the same language as the country of origin, the Italian Angelina Mango with the song "La cumbia della noia" will be in the top 3 positions together with the Spanish Nebulossa with the song “Zorra” and the Slovenian singer Raiven with the song “Veronika”.

"National final" is a great insult to the oldest music festival on the planet, the Eurofestival was born as an imitation of Sanremo many years later, a trash imitation. For 20 years Italy has not sent artists, despite having a guaranteed place, many winners of Sanremo did not want to go and Eurovision in Italy is almost unknown, with low ratings, very low. RESPECT AND INFORM YOURSELF BEFORE SPEAKING.
