Phillip Danault would need to be stretchered off after taking a puck to the head on a Zdeno Chara slap shot.

Usually I'm the furthest thing from a Chara fan but I have to admit, this made me respect him more. This was clearly a freak accident, it's obvious that he felt terrible about what happened-and he handled it with a lot of class. Respect where it's due
@nullobject59436 жыл бұрын
Can I ask why? I'm a Caps fan, and I really enjoy watching him play. I'm just curious why someone would dislike him. He just doesn't seem like the type of player that people would dislike.
@hudson81826 жыл бұрын
Fair enough, I'm mainly talking about not liking him on the ice. I'll admit that a lot of that is probably based on how he's usually done well against my Avs, haha. I haven't seen enough of his interviews to pass judgment on him as a person, but based on what I've seen here he's a pretty cool guy.

You're a Canucks fan (which doesn't really explain why you'd hate Chara so much given the fact that they don't even play in the same conference) AND you bear the Nordiques logo instead of the Canucks logo? That was really classy what Chara did, the Habs and the Bruins are the biggest rivalry in sports but this game was definetly one with alot of class shown. Great game overall, the Bruins snatched the win in the end but we were lucky enough to pick up a point because we need as many as we can get right now. Good game Boston but we'll get you next game. #GOHABSGO

cus ya gotta be able to see and skate. Most hockey helmets actually do an amazing job of distributing head contact since it isn't a head contact sport in the slightest.

The more protective helmets restrict their vision, and the history of the NHL was for the players to wear no helmets until the 60s-70s

As a Rangers fan, Chara was always a privilege to watch and admire. He played the game hard, but clean. I had the opportunity to briefly meet him once and he couldn't have been more affable and pleasant - especially to little kids.
