When we were kids growing up in Staffordshire we called Rugeley " rudge as in smudge" my Dad actually built that power Station " not on his own of course he was a steel erector.....now strangely as we passed by it this year there was a massive explosion, we didn't know what the bang was we couldn't see it..so asked a passer by if they knew what it was, and they said they had a controlled explosion to take one of those massive old towers down my dad had built in the 60s ........ I felt it was my dad saying hello especially to me ...... stay safe x

We visited Kings Orchard Marina back in July and we agree they are lovely staff and we decided to winter moor there too. We came back home and got caught up in lockdown and so it was nice to see that our boat is still afloat on your vlog! ..hope you are both recovering well xx

Glad to see the two of you and Otis are doing well. I believe my father who was in the RCAF during WWII was at Lichfield for a time. He was SGT for a ground crew ( maintenance) on Halifax and also Lancaster bombers. He was also at East Moor and Bedford

Just found out you had both been sick. So so sorry to hear Shaun had been VERY sick. Relieved that things are improving. How very scary for you both specially since you don't know how you got it. Take it easy Shaun (probably don't have a choice), l know Colin will be taking good care of you. Toronto has gone back into lockdown and since we are nearby we are likely to go that way too. Whatever it takes! I really miss hugging my kids and grandkids but boy will that be special when all this is under some sort of control! Bit late to say "stay safe" so stay safer!

There are two things I love about watching your videos, firstly you do your research. you look at where you're headed for and do your best to find out interesting stuff about it, and secondly... (as I've mentioned in comments on some of your other videos) you do love to try to slip in as many innuendos as you can!

On the subject of the trusty water closet, I think you will find that one early model was developed by Thomas Crapper. I was led to believe that this was the reason that the verb was to have a c..p! Back in the time of Queen Elizabeth I, an early flushing toilet was developed by Sir John Harrington. I understand that that was why some people used to say that “they were going to The John!” It is so much easier for Otis and his friends. They don’t have to worry about WCs, composting toilets or pump-outs - somebody comes after them with a doggy bag and it’s all sorted. Good luck with the new boat, keep safe and look after each other.
