These artists spend their life practicing and mastering these difficult musical instruments for us to enjoy. I am deeply grateful to Ronald Grinder for uploading this masterpiece. Every string of this instrument tells a story and Mr. Farjami is in control, just awesome piece. The Ostad who played the tombak is another artist who is greatly appreciated. I am in Heaven listening.

What a great album! 😊 A few days ago, I almost bought an iranian santoor someone was selling it in my country (Chile), in a very good condition and with a great price tag... sadly, someone bought it only a day before I ever saw the publication... I hope someday I can get, learn and play (decently) this awesome instrument !!!

To be a "professional" basically means you receive payment for what you do. I can think of any number of better adjectives to describe his play than "professional" alone. For example, you might say he is a "wonderful" or "excellent" or "superb" or "exemplary" tombak player, just to name a few.

The Santoor was developed by the musician and philosoph El Farabi, immigrated to Baghdad from Kazachstan at the age 17 years, worked as gardener during the day and writing essays on life and art at night.
