Canary Islands - Part I: Life at the Limit - Go Wild

Go Wild

Go Wild

2 жыл бұрын

Wind and water transported pioneer seeds, insects and animals to the isolated islands. They created the diversity and distribution of life here, with microclimates like the world’s only surviving temperate cloud forests. Animals and plants evolved unique features to survive in these lands. The result is startling encounters with eccentric birds and with majestic whales!

Here is to those exceptional wildlife photographers who had to spend day & night w/ an infinite patience in order to procure these brilliant, indelible, & momentous footages at such foreboding, inhospitable, & inaccessible landscapes in the face of some adverse conditions. It may simply exhibit to discern their single-minded determination & unwavering dedication of the professional commitment for their crafts at the level most of us could only dream of. So I can't help doffing my hat to them. In addition, my heartfelt gratitude to the post-production crews such as editors, a script writer, audio men inclusive of the background music, a narrator, etc. who had all contributed to enhance a wealth of intrigue & excitement. Thanks to them all, we could enjoy, admire, & appreciate this one & only sublime doc. at the comfort of our home. From California,,,,(08/18/23)

Life is difficult for humans, unless you know how to survive in nature. These animals have it figured out. They were here before us, and will out live us. They will thrive without us, but we can't thrive without them. Humans will extinguish themselves, but nature will return once we are all gone.

These islands 🏝 originally belonged to Morocco and they are part of it's waters/ territory but never allowed any human habitat. Then the Spaniards invaded it, colonised it and turned most of it to land of parties, drunks, sex and fantasy...to today it still the biggest dispute between Morocco and Spain. When Morocco gets back it's colonies, the inhabitants will be relocated to land and these islands will recover to their glory as only the likes of scientists and biologists oceanograp....Will be allowed for limited periods.

@@LondonCarnaval The Canary Islands was inhabited by the indigenous 'Guanche' tribes for the better part of 3500-4000 years, an ancient African culture that never belonged to the Moroccan kingdom. Islam never reached the Canary Islands and they had their own indigenous kingdoms prior to the arrival of the Spanish. The modern day Canary Islander's are the descendants of the indigenous population proven by genetic science and cultural research. I'm afraid to say your Moroccan propaganda is incorrect, we Canary Islander's will be there another 3-4000 years with or without Morocco or Spain. Canary Islanders were there long before Morocco even existed and are a part of some of the oldest genetic groups found in Africa. Viva las islas Canarias!
