Some other unused Ultimate characters: -Decidueye was considered, but was canned in favor of Incineroar's more unique fighting style. -Spring Man and Rex were considered, but had too become an Assist Trophy and Mii Costume, respectively, because of bad timing.

Ok let’s see, we got Marth, Roy, Lucina, Ike, Chrom, Robin, corrin, and byleth, that’s 8 characters, let’s look at the amount of Mario characters, Mario, luigi, Yoshi, peach, bowser, Jr, Piranha plant, and daisy, and I’m not counting the koopalings since Im not counting the female versions of other characters, THAT IS 8 CHARACTERS, FIRE EMBLEM HAS BEEN REPRESENTED AS MUCH AS MARIO, THE MAIN MASCOT OF NINTENDO, I️ feel bad for the characters who only have one person in smash despite being able to have more people from their franchise added, the amount of sonic characters that could become playable IS UNBELIEVABLE, shadow, metal sonic, silver , tails, Amy, knuckles, AND EGGMAN, THATS 7 POSSIBLE CHARACTERS JUST DOWN THE DRAIN BECAUSE THEY DECIDED SONIC SHOULD BE THE ONLY SONIC CHARACTERS, AND THEY NEED MORE ROOM FOR FIRE EMBLEM, WHY IS IT EVEN REPRESENTED SO MUCH, JUST BECAUSE A NEW FIRE EMBLEM GAME IS RELEASED DOESNT MEAN THE MAIN CHARACTER NEEDS TO BE ADDED

I think the reason why Geno was cancelled from Brawl was because on the games' website, before the game was released, fans were allowed to vote on which character they want to see and a number of fans wanted characters like Geno and Ridley, but the most overwhelming vote was Sonic The Hedgehog which is why he first appeared in Brawl up to Ultimate. Plus I wish Sonic made it into Melee
