The new for 2021 attraction will replace Volcano: The Blast Coaster's plot of land, so it has quite the expectations to live up to! Enjoy this 4K POV in 60fps, a prediction of the new roller coaster built to scale from leaked official plans. The ride is expected to be a wing coaster made by Bolliger and Mabillard, a smaller model like we've seen many of built around Europe. Wing coasters live up to the reputation of being smooth, flowy, and comfortable. They're the number 1 hangover cure for sure!
In this prediction, we follow a layout released by KD Fans, and it seems to be quite straightforward with what can be done with these lines.
The ride features a height of 125 feet, 4 inversions. Great to see the park going toe to toe with Busch Gardens with 2021 additions rumored for both parks!

My thoughts exactly! Like, I dont mind if they want to put in a wing coaster, but you cant rip out an icon like Volcano and put something "blah" in its place. Maybe make it a launched wing coaster, make it a little bigger to take up almost all of Volcanos plot. To me it's like replacing the Mona Lisa with a smiley face sticker and telling people "isnt this better?".

The point of this business is to make money, not please enthusiasts. in its state, Volcano was financially unsustainable, The general public does not really give much care to what replaces it. Kings Dominion does not need any more launched roller coasters anyways.

I bet a Wing coaster would be a worthy successor to the people that actually go to this park. Kings Dominion is my home park and there are no other parks close that have a Wing coaster, and I live in North Carolina!

Even though I’ve never been. Kings dominion should get something more unique. Maybe put like 7 or 8 inversions and a launch on the wing coaster. That might get people talking. Or an infinity with 10+ inversions. Even if a record breaker doesn’t come, the wing coaster should be a little more intense

AnimalJammer 39400 KD isn’t one of Cedar Fair’s top parks. They’re just trying to replace a ride and boost attendance while not spending way too much money on something crazy. It may not be the best ride, but it is a smart business move.

I completely agree with u man volcano was an amazing and well known ride to alot of people in the U.S. and it's like the original launch coaster I seriously think they should put in a launch or a couple of speed boosts on the track somewhere and maybe a few more loops but this just seems like an idea rn so we might get more out of this ride we just dont know yet

Whomever made this did a good job, I'm just not happy if this will be the Volcano replacement. I really hope KD adds more to it, or makes it an LSM launched wing coaster. That being said (edit now that I've watched it a few times) While this coaster doesn't have the most original layout, at least it is unique to the park. It will most likely be a big hit with the GP, and this coaster will probably be way better with capacity than volcano was. Am I the only one who doesn't like jr. Immelman loops? Just give me the full inversion and not the baby version. If this is gonna be an X-flight knock-off it at least needs the full version of the Immelman loop. Other than that (as stated earlier) whomever did this simulation of the rumored new coaster, did an excellent job!

I won't say it's bad. I really like B&Ms but come on. This is underwhelming. I think a Vekoma roller coaster might be better (either a Bermuda Blitz or kinda like what Energylandia's getting) and wayyyy cheaper (between $4-10M)

It’s a good thing that it’s a B&M Wing, but the layout is not worthy of a replacement for such an incredible coaster like Volcano. This is just taking it down a notch. Kings Island deserves much better.

Nice how you can get these made quickly, just a couple of critiques. On Wings of Glory (that this layout appears to be based on), the first Zero-G roll rotates anticlockwise instead of clockwise. Also, I think the corkscrew near the end needs a bit of tweaking but overall nice POV!

I have heard a lot of things about the six flags near me, never been to a six flags a kings dominion one thing I heard about six flags is that some of the rides are always closed like roar joker, and more. Another thing I heard about joker is that it broke down for 5 hours and it was super scary. Please reply so I can choose!

I’m seeing a lot of people aren’t happy with this addition. Could it be bigger? Probably, but they’re most likely having to go smaller because they weren’t originally planning for KD to get another coaster for 2021 (if this happens). Volcano was a last minute removal, and since it was the most popular ride in the park, Cedar Fair is probably scrambling to get a replacement. Also the wing coaster is just a rumor so far , this might not even be the final draft. Even if it ends up being the official layout, I still think this looks like it would be an awesome roller coaster anyway.

Save the wing coaster for Anaconda's replacement which should be soon. It would go well with the lake with some near miss elements. Save the spot the Volcano vacancy for a launch coaster replacement can't go wrong with a Mack, Intamin (possible 2 coaster deal), or Vekoma.

There's no guarantee that KD is even getting a new coaster in 21 and there's no real proof to verify weather or not that leaked layout is authentic or not...sorry for coming off as being negative on this but I don't want to get my hopes up only to end up with another kiddie land expansion coming in 21.

Get rid of the Avalanche and Anaconda and extend this ride so that it takes up the plots of those two rides and KD will have a monster on its hands. One thing is for sure, the next ride needs to be something that is breathtaking!

Did anyone notice all the inversions are right hand turns? Seems unfair. Need some left handed inversions as well to make ride experience better. Increases rideability in my opinion.

As a long time visitor of the park; I have to say that they took a BIG RISK; removing Volcano. The B&M wing coasters need a lot of space in order to create something worth riding. They should have considered refurbishing Volcano in 2019 and then re-opening it in 2020.

Refurbishment would have costed too much and many of the parts are no longer available since Volcano was a prototype coaster. In addition it was very hard for them to perform maintenance on the ride for sections in the mountain which was never made for a high speed coaster. It's sad they had to remove it but this was not a good filler. Wing coasters command a lot of space for the widened supports and to do this ride the justice it needs they would need to take up land behind the ride which requires more of an expense. They should have used a MACK rides or a RMC single rail to give the same level of intensity with a somewhat compact space, but Cedar Fair seems to favor B&M and Intamin. I even think a larger version of Hangtime located at Knott's would have been a nice unique coaster for the park

Crazy the disparity between the concepts we're seeing from Intamin, Vekoma, RMC, and Mack versus B&M. They just haven't progressed in 30 years and still use the same cookie cutter elements that they did in the early 90's. No variation in forces, no variation in experience, I hope B&M proves me wrong but they're so far behind the curve now when they were once an elite manufacturer.

They get consistent buyers despite their high price tags because their rides have low downtime, they're extraordinarily safe, and usually have huge throughputs. They're crowd pleasers, instantaneously recognizable, and also tend to work well with parks. I think B&M is doing just fine. But yeah, this thing looks extremely meh. Looks like a better fit for Valley Fair for Christ's sake.

The comments are cancerous. They tore down Volcano because of how much it was costing to maintain and how much downtime it had. If this actually ends up being a wing coaster, regardless of how much whining is coming from enthusiasts, a B&M with a lift hill will be far more reliable than any Intamin launch coaster.

@@nathanfleming1226 I-305 didn't produce the attendance boost CF wanted which is why they didn't get a coaster for 8 years after. KD isn't on the level of Cedar Point, Knott's, Wonderland, or Kings Island.
