@Gem Starr: Only time I ever heard of Cardi B was when she did a duet with Bruno Mars. Young people music is different and will always be wilder than your parents generation. If they want to debase themselves ... let them. My concern is the effect it has on my nieces & daughters. It’s a pollutant.

Like Candace said it’s not necessarily the fact that cardi B is rapping like that it’s the media that’s allowing her music on the radios and at the Grammys is the problem. Cardi B got the right to rap about whatever she want to.

As a black teenager , it’s really nice to have a non toxic black women who actually like to address the toxic and bad issues of the black community to look up . It takes real strength to do soo , because as soon as you do your a sellout and ignorant. At first I never knew about her , all I knew was a lot of black Twitter (the most toxic place on this planet ) hated her . Recently , my mum was watching some of her videos and you realise why she’s so hated because she’s literally saying everything we don’t want to hear . She doesn’t make violence and single parent hood acceptable / deemed normal just because "it’s always been like that " or " it’s a cultural thing " but obviously they want to find a way to connect it to the white mans doing in some way . As a Gen Z , Black people as of the 2000’s haven’t been enslaved, but we still try to find a way to blame the stabbings and shootings on things that never actually happened to US .

But to pretend that American history isn’t littered with systemic racism geared towards stealing black wealth and crushing black industrialism and excellence then you are literally choosing to remain in ignorance. It’s google-able from lynchings, bombings, erasing black cities, to black people being enslaved in 1965 100 years after slavery “ended”, to black people not being able to buy life insurance hell to Toyota among others admitting about 5 years ago to predatory and racist lending practices

Empowerment is the new word for doing anything you want, no matter how wrong and ratchet it might be. When it comes to showing an educated understanding of the complexities of race, politics, bigotry, the oppressed, the protected classes, the state of America’s healthcare system, science, the environment, world politics, Wall Street, banking, the power being slowly and brazenly taken from the people of the United States, rights being stripped and the wealthiest of the country laughing about the ease to which convincing the struggling and sometimes severely uneducated American population that they’re in their corner. @@lilimasterton9914 the world is changing doesn't mean you must accept everything in it , infact some of the best thing people have done is to fight against changes that are evil and destructive. while cardi b can do what she wants and I don't think Candace ever tried to censor her just disagreed vehmently with her also yes some actions are objectively better than other and so are the values associated with them , also it's funny how the world constantly blames men for sexualizing women while literally rubbing your vagina in public is considered empowering for women , really how shallow can some women be when anything is peddled as empowerment. If this is then sorry it's dismal, shallow and deliberate cheapening of the experience of being a woman. Also challenge what a society that has yeilded to every one of their demands. Last time I checked LGBT rights is given in usa including the right to marry and actively celibrated which is wierd considering west in general has lost faith in marriage and family comes under increasing criticism from every corner of society but they are the only ones that are taboo to be criticized. people have shown all types of sexual fantasies freely and is readily available in the internet, meanwhile an entire month is dedicated to LGBT community and almost every aspect of them is celebrated in pride parades , so what exactly are you fighting for anyways.

@@mikejones1765 you haven’t listened to the entire context. She is asking people to use their own logic and think . Does it make sense that for example Melania trump who is arguably one of the best dressed First Ladies is not on one single cover of Vogue. That is just one example. She is asking you to ask yourself. Does this make sense or are they adjusting your information input.
