Queen of the Grey Sea is a setting description of the port city of Candarlin on the fantasy continent of Te Arras.
The book begins with an overview of general topics such as geography, history, population, language, law, gods, clothing, architecture and holidays. Afterwards follows a brief description of a total of 25 important places, such as the lighthouse, the caravansary and the Grand Bazaar. Also there is a description of several important personalities of the city in the last chapter.
In addition, the volume contains a detailed description of the gladiator school (including three maps) as well as three short adventures, each of which is set on 1-2 double pages. They are set in and around Candarlin and are intended to provide an easy introduction to the city. There is also a large general map, a list for generating local character names and a summary of the inns with game-relevant features.
All abilities, skills and traits of the game follow the E5 rule set of the world's most famous role-playing game.
