I listen to Candi Staton when I was in the world she was a great singer I follow her music for years, but I came to know Jesus and stop listening to rythem and blues, then I heard her singing Sin doesn't live here anymore I was glad to know that she had gave her life to Christ, I said she was a great singer back then but after God came into her life she's even greater, because she didn't act or pretend, she is real, with her relationship with Christ. Her testamony I'm sure has been a service to so many, she was favorite of so many in the world, But now she's lead so many to Christ thru her songs and the Anointing that rest upon her. I thank God for Candi Staton she have persevere thru much, and kept the faith. Coming out of a world that most thought was impossible, she is one of those that proven God can do anything...

Aretha is not the greatest singer of all time. This lady is one the great singers. Cece Winan, Yolanda Adams and others sing better than anything that I know of. So , dear I understand that you love Aretha but to proclaim her as the greatest singer of all time is lying to people. And I felt that you needed to be corrected.

I'm not sure how old you are or where you've been - but Franklin is universally revered as the greatest voice in recording history. Why do you think she tops every music industry poll as the greatest singer of the 20th century - why do you think she is proclaimed as the greatest voice by just about every singer there is - including Candi and the two that you mention. Ce Ce would pimp slap you for your foolishness as she's stated that Aretha was the greatest singer on numerous occasions. Now take your medication and lay down.

Nobody could ever sound like her - this is why she tops every music industry poll as the greatest voice in recording history - and this is why she is revered as the greatest voice and proclaimed as the greatest singer by just about every other decent singer and every musician over the last six decades.

She is celebrated for her secular stuff (which I prefer) around the world and is in many books on the history of BLACK MUSIC and its uniqueness. The law was here to teach us what sin is. It kept us from sinning. It was here temporarily since the faith which would prevent us from sinning had not arived by then. And now after the arival of the faith we are no longer under the law since our faith in Jesus prevents us from sinning. Yes for those who are not under faith(murderers, adulterers, thieves, fornicators etc) they still need the law. In fact contrary to some beliefs the standard of holiness that is required by faith is far higher than the standard that is demanded by the law

I had the honour & pleasure of playing a few engagements with Ms Staton in Europe a few years ago. Such a genuinely nice person. She was without a doubt the star of the show & had audiences in raptures, but was in fact extremely humble on & off stage, & treated everyone working for her with the utmost respect & kindness. & of course she has a rare voice that can express multiple emotions, joy, pain & heavenly glory all at the same time. She has many fans here in the UK, myself included.
