Oh, just wait until you hit curse crusher mode with that dinky little thing. I died with Olly's flashlight equipped at ember cellar in curse crusher. That charm better be a good one.

@@kumaradityakashyap5569 Yeah, of course! I'll try to keep it brief, but there's some good ways to improve with Olly's Flashlight. The main thing is to target the stronger enemies (Toxo/Pyromancers, Spiders, Spitters, Flambeaus, etc.) and memorize where and when they spawn on each floor. It sounds difficult, but as you play, you get a lot more accustomed to it. It especially helps so that you don't get overwhelmed. You also wanna be jumping diagonally and moving around as much as possible. Don't stay on one floor too long and let others build up; instead, use your health as a resource and try to tank some damage to clear floors if you need to or find good openings. For treasures, any damage-reducing or HP-based treasures are best (Sugar Heart, Butterfly Sugar, Bubblegum, Jawbreaker, Halo Bar, Zappy Taffy, etc.). Companions are also really good, but most of them come at the cost of having to be dodged, so be careful of that. Undead Curse + Devil's Bargain is a great combo if you get lucky enough to get it, but Undead by itself is also really good, especially if you get good at chains to build your heart meter. That's the basis of a good run, but feel free to ask me any other questions!

I can sometimes teleport above the level when I get hit mid air. Must be some bug

You get a charm called Photograph. I won't spoil it entirely, but it's more for lore purposes and isn't good. But if I had to give you some tips for the run, the main thing is practice. Start from normal mode for better treasures and target stronger enemies like Spitters and Toxo/Pyromancers. It also helps to memorize when and where they spawn for each stage, generally. If you can, get Undead + Devil's Bargain, as it'll help you immensely, especially combined with Zeke. All companions are also quite good as well, as long as you can dodge their friendly fire. Keep at it and you'll get it in no time! :)

You get a unique charm that can be used on olly's flashlight. Its not that useful and mainly serves as a trophy

I'm not sure if you mean Blaze Devil, but if so then you can use the method shown in this run. It's really easy to go around the edge of the screen to dodge his dashes. And for the bursts of flame, it's helpful to learn the directions they travel in and to get as far away from him as you can so they spread out and provide a big enough gap for you to pass through. For Fire Spirit, though, he's actually even easier. You just have to run away as he chases you and hit him as soon as possible. There isn't much else to it. One good strategy though is to stick to the top floor and run back and forth, which works quite well for Fire Spirit.

Thanks man! So I actually only use one finger, but I use my right index finger, not my thumb. It definitely gives me more control, but I've practiced it quite a bit too, which is how I've been able to move so well. As for which weapons I've used from the start, I stuck with lanterns for quite a while. In fact, beams (AKA flaslights) were the type that I started using last. I used lanterns mostly at first, then switched to blades when I started to speedrun and learn the game more, and then I went to beams to really test my skill. Now, my mains are still mostly lanterns, but I sprinkle in some of the other weapons here and there when I play.

​@@jordanius99my main is the blade type. I purchased the necro scythe two days ago and have been in love with it ever since. I somehow managed to run out my chain not because i got hit, but because there wasn't enough enemies onscreen to kill.

Yeah, it's a bug in the current version of the game. Quite a few people are having that issue with beams, and to my knowledge, reopening or reinstalling the game seems like the only potential fix.

There's a lot of things you can do, mostly consisting of little techniques like using the diagonal jumps to your advantage and targeting stronger enemies (Flambeaus, Toxo/Pyromancers, Spiders, etc.) and knowing where they spawn. But generally practicing movement also helps quite a bit. Luck plays a good role, too. Ideally, you wanna aim for Undead Curse + Devil's Bargain since you'll get a huge amount of SHP that you can increase indefinitely if you do well with comboes/chains. Of course, health and damage reduction candies help a ton as well, and so do any of the companion curses (if you can dodge them well). Every little bit helps in a run like that, so keep practicing 'til you find what works!

Yeah... it's a bug that came up after the most recent update. There isn't a true solution yet, but reinstalling the game might work.

You could probably do it with an emulator if I had to guess, but you'd have to look into it Even on mobile I don't think the movement is that difficult if you get it down right but that's just me I suppose Also I think there's a joystick mode in-game so even that might help but yeah I'd try looking into setting up a mobile emulator on your computer (if you have one) and trying to use a controller with it

@@jordanius99 actually the "joystick" mode is none other than a retro-style to the game, like a diferent view.

When you complete normal mode with it, you get a charm called Four-Eyes that lets Olly join and fight for you. When you complete CC mode, you get another secret charm (I won't spoil it just in case).

Ah, yes, the dreaded Necro Scholar. Let's see. So first there's the mini skull attack, which is pretty straightforward. You wanna just sit in the corner opposite to her and try to dodge any skulls that come your way while also killing the enemies that spawn. You also have the bat attack, which is also straightforward. Stay at the bottom floor and go to the middle of it to see which bones fall first, then dodge. For the bats, you'll have to be careful if you're using a beam, since it can be tough to hit them with their sporadic movements. Wait until you see a good opening (AKA where the bats get low enough for you to hit them) and jump in, but try not to take too long or you'll miss your chance to hit Necro Scholar herself. The hardest is the big laser skulls attack. What you wanna do is look at the eyes on the skulls, since you'll see that they have a slight startup time before the laser actually fires at you. Wait until the eyes are about to cross over the floor above you, then jump to avoid being hit by the laser and the next row of skulls. Some of the other videos on my channel might also help demonstrate these techniques, so try to see if you can replicate the strategies. Hopefully this helps!
