Hey friends! Let's review Bath and Body Works Almond Croissant. This is probably the most recommended candle I have ever had. So many of you know my love of Scentsy Almond Croissant and when Bath and Body Work released Almond Croissant, the amount of messages and DM's I got about this candle were awesome! Thank you all for thinking of me! While this is unfortunately not a winner for me personally, scent and performance wise, I am glad I at least tried it. No harm in that! But I will for sure be trading this in for another scent in the very near future. Please share your thoughts on Almond Croissant in the comments down below.

It’s so crazy what noses smell. Mine is so buttery and bready, and my throw is crazy strong! Up my stairs around corners. The burn on my first and now second is disgustingly dirty. Have a great week, Melanie!

It's funny...you always mention the noise is pug snores but I hardly ever hear it. A recent video I actually did hear it and at first I thought you tooted..haha. Then I was like...oh, that must be the snoring you always mention...lol 🤣

I’m an almond extract lover….I had to add Amaretto to my Scentsy Almond Croissant. Yikes! 😅 Thanks for the review, I’ll see if I can get my hands on one!

I was so excited when I saw this candle in store … I stuck my nose in it and was so disappointed 🥴 I ended up getting Wildberry Jam Donut instead! 🍩

Dont feel bad, everyone's sniffer differs right? I liked it on cold, but burned it basically just smelled like French Baguette to me. My wicks got really small too, but stayed lit and then got big again - weird. I hope you find something yummy when you return it. Can't wait to find out 😊

I do get the crust note, but more so when warmed than burned. Try your crock and see if you detect a difference.

I don't know what it was, but there was definitely some note in here that got to me because I did not enjoy this candle at all. I exchanged it for I can't remember what - might have been Sweet Orange & Agave. I stuck mine under a candle lamp for one pool and oh man, mine was STRONG, which is saying a lot for my hard-to-scent open space. Interesting that yours was not, but that seems to be the norm for BBW, right?! But, oh man, I remember thinking if this is what Scentsy's Almond Croissant smells like, no thank you. LOL! But I know this candle has been super popular, so I think we're in the minority, Melanie. 😮

It is true that our noses don't all smell the scent notes. I ordered wax melts, from another company, because the candles had gotten rave reviews. I melted them, and I thought they were awful.

Melanie, I know you try to keep your number of bars down on your Scentsy Club to 15 (this is what you have mentioned). Have you considered changing your quarterly to either monthly or bi-monthly so you can acquire more of the Almond Croissant in a shorter time frame. You can always change the monthly or bi-monthly back to quarterly later down the road after you have acquired a stash. Just a thought.

I do think about that sometimes. But also, I buy so much in between my club from Scentsy that it makes it hard to justify haha! But yes that would be a great way to build the stash a bit!

Hopefully BBW was able to exchange that for you. My store will only allow an exchange if the candle is slightly burned.

I luckily had no issues with my exchange. But I do understand why they have a stricter policy in place. I am in some candle groups and the unethical stuff I see people saying they do in terms of exchanges and returns boggle my mind. And what entitles them to a refund. Yikes. I get it it, stuff costs money but those are the people who will end a generous return policy.

Thank you for sharing. My cold sniff impression was similar to yours, so I didn’t purchase this scent. Almond paste is not a favorite scent. It seems challenging to capture almond scents in home fragrance. To my surprise, I am enjoying Sweet Orange & Agave, if you need an idea for your exchange. 🍊R☘️

Too bad. To me it’s like they took their French baguette candle (I wasn’t a fan) and added almond extract. Happy hunting for replacement 😃

I wasn’t crazy about this candle either. Very much an one and done for me. It’s very popular though. Most of my stores are sold out. The performance of BBW candles are so hit and miss. Most dud out at the halfway mark and get those super low wicks like you showed in the video

I totally agree! The hit and miss game is strong at BBW. Luckily they are still pretty affordable for the most part.

You nailed this review. The burn was atrocious. I don't mind the almond extract smell, but was very disapointed that its not bakery. I might have bought another if not for the terrible terrible burn. I don't really get the hype on this one.

I wonder if I got a mispour or something. For it to smell like plastic is not the norm for BBW candles. But I do wish i got the hype like everyone else. I really wanted to love it!

I've got this one sitting in my BOPIS order waiting for me. ☹️ I bought it based on the rave reviews on the candle boards, along with 3 other gourmands (Hummingbird Tea Cake, Main Street Bakery, and Wildberry Jam Donut) that I've never smelled in person. Now I'm wondering if I should just not pick up the order at all. Candle Day 2023 was my first experience with BBW, and the last thing I need is another source for my addiction!

Hi Melanie As someone who does not like bakery notes in a candle, I personally can smell some bakery in it.😅 What I will say is all my bath and bdy works candles for the last 4 months, are giving me issues. Either low strength and throw, or wicks that dud out or just barely create a pool. I bought some Root Bear and Bubble gum special throwback releases, and they are extremely weak in fragrance, especially the bubble gum. I will be bringing them back for a refund or exchange. There will be some new spring candles released soon with pretty floral designed wraps, so I am waiting for those to appear before I trade out.
