I love these old war movies, but I really hate the fact that every time a soldier or resistance member breaks into the main character’s house, they take advantage of the situation.

Algeria... A land that the French were naive enough to believe was theirs, while Islam is incompatible with Christian civilization, with any form of human civilization that it seeks to replace. The Spanish and Portuguese understood this centuries and centuries ago when they mobilized to drive home the Muslim invaders, and it took them 780 years to do so. We can therefore estimate that from now on, the same similar process of reconquest will last 1,000 years on the scale of Europe which is today invaded and bruised... The damage is done.

So much Bs in the text . France was just a colonial power exploiting Argelia for their benefit . Just google the war in Argelia , France killed millions of Algerians trying to maintain their power in the African colony just like they did in Indochina = Vietnam .

Last little sentence in your text summarises the whole mess. Yes, the damage is already done. It is irrepiarable however it is to be seen how much more damage can be avoided specially in times when wokeism is considered liberalism and modernism. Regards

Uma luz na Algelia, não é o filme que poderia ter sido com este bom tema para inspirá-lo. Tem grandes possibilidades, mas não consegue explorá-las. Candlelight in Algeria is not the film it might have been with such a theme to inspire it; it shows itself aware of the possibilities, but fails to exploit them.
