Really amazing! What are the sessions for the non-index futures?

They all have daily sessions from 900-1400 EST and some go for 24 hours

U need to store values in array to compare, not all platforms can do this,I don’t think SQX can do that

Do you have a good tutorial on using projects in strategy quant x? I'm trying to make it say Build strategies with the end date up to the latest date the data exists after doing a data update task automatically. And also trying to make it randomly select from a list of symbols and timeframes each time it does the "build strategies" task but don't know how.

I have a video that will walk you through that, but setting data history and randomizing symbols is not possible to my knowledge. It would be great feature to add randomizing time frame from a group and picking symbols from a group, you should add it to feature requests

Hi Ali, So i'm having a problem ensuring that strategyquantx backtest matches the backtest in MT4. It always opens at the wrong price for the same candle even when I export the strategyquantx data to MT4 and also look at the data in CSV formatted outputted. I've put spread as 0 and also put spread as 0 points in MT4 too and it is still wrong. The only way I can get it right is to change the "Precision" in the data tab (Test parametres section) to use "Real tick - custom spread", but when I do that, all my trades don't open on bar opens (like 1 hour bar open), it opens on tick which i don't want. How do I use "Real tick - custom spread" but tell it that it must open on bar open when using builder?

I'll give you an example. I'm testing on S&P500 symbol. At 2022, march 3rd at 3 am (UTC 0) the bid is 4385 and the ask is 4385.5 (Dukascopy data), however when selecting 0 spread and also selecting "selected timeframe only" on a 1h timeframe, the position in this algo decides to open at price 4384.8. Remember I used 0 spread as well and exporting the data shows that it has bid at 4385 and ask at 4385.5 first tick in the new 1 hour candle stick.

its a losing battle to try to match whatever you built in SQX to MT4 or TS/MC. the usual culprits are: data providers time zone build engine session time imported latest SQX indicators into MT4 even if all above match, you still might have some issues, but number of trades and equity curve should highly correlated

I use daily bars, but you can test on 4/8 hours

unfortunately how much I make is not relevant it is very much related to how much risk you can handle, you can't shoot for 50% return without expecting 50-70% drawdown. most strategies profits can be dialed up/down through position sizing, but remember that profits are connected with DD. the only way is swing that equation in your direction is to build robust portfolios. in StatOasis discord server there are three portfolios, two of them returning around 18% CAGR with around 15%DD, and one is returning about 30% CAGR and 25% DD, all these portfolios are designed to trade once a month for lower maintenance.
