9 жыл бұрын2003, 6 September: Rap-metal band Limp Bizkit played a huge free show, in front of 30.000 people, at the Finsbury Park in London to make up for a cancelled U.K. date. The show was live broadcasted on various MTV stations across the world.

If I had to put money on it I'd say it was Skan who supplied the sound and sound engineer. They are Berkshire based and have been around long before the 90's! I know they supply sound for the second stage at Download Festival. And Bizkits Download 2013 set sounded awesome!!!

The sound engineers have out done themselves. What a crispy, tasty mix. That snare and bass. Doesn't feel like 2003. They played this show free after their original date was canceled. And not just for the ticket holders, but everyone! Good old times that will never come back. No phones, just people enjoying themselves. One of the best live rock/metal shows. This will remain eternal.

Sound engineers usually never get enough credit when the sound is amazing. When the sound is muddy or not mixed well everyone notices and shits on them.

So many people say their best era is the pre RMV, a lot people said after Wes leaving the band Limp Bizkit was dead. But ironically 2003-2004 was Fred's best vocal era and like it or not Mike's live sound is way cleaner than Borland's. My point is, when most people said LM was over they were actually at their best!

What I really have preferred to happen was to have both Wes and Mike in the band. Quite frankly LB's entire catalogue is begging to be played with two guitars.

I feel so privileged to have been at this show. It's second only to Oasis at Knebworth for the best concert I've ever been to. I also went to the small warm-up show at the Apollo in Manchester a couple of nights before. That was a fuckin mental gig too. I got dropped while crowd surfing at Finsbury and ruptured a vertabrae, I'm 40 now and still have back pain from it. I'd rupture another couple of those fuckers for the chance to experience this show again.

I was so lucky to be a senior in high school that year. They really tore the house down with this version of "take a look around." They made it so big a rocked it hard as fuck along with Pyro, God I wish I was at this show. The sound was fucking flawless and the boys were on top of their game at the peak of limp bizkit popularity.

Ok, I wanna unpack this. I actually like Mike, and think that Snot was a cool band, and RMV is underrated. But, no way does the band sound BETTER with Mike. He plays Wes parts well, but sadly at this point the band is playing the simplest stuff Wes wrote. There is none of the finger tapping from Three Dollar Bill, and even Significant Other is hardly represented. So, yeah Mike sounds really good on some of the weakest material Wes wrote.

It’s just not the same without Wes… Wes’s style and originality would be hard for any guitarist to try and copy. There is no guitarist around like Wes it’s not just his style of playing and originality but his finesse volume control etc. what are makes Limp the band they are, sick as fuck.

A lot of people saying Mike sounds really good here, I mean I agree, but for me Wes to Limp Bizkit is like John Frusciante is to RHCP, you can have other really talented guitarists take their spot, and the band will do well, but you will never replace or reach the same level withouth these two in their respective bands.

People of the time didn't like change and was up in arms that wez left the band and didn't like the direction limp was going with mike as lead... but the was going forward with Mike wez took them backwards when he rejoined band. "Result may very" was the right direction limp should have progressed from they would have stayed top of the game

DJ Lethal doesn’t get enough credit…he makes these songs what they are. Listen to instrumental-only versions of LB songs, Rearranged for instance…he creates the eerie vibe with perfect placement of sounds

В каком месте он превзашол веса ?о чем ты .лимп бизкит это первый состав .без звучания веса это уже не лимп .да звук на концерте хорош.с этим согласен

Да, мне гитарное звучание этого периода нравится больше и не только на этом концерте. Как-то чище и "профессиональнее" что-ли. Я сомневаюсь, что в классическом составе у них получился бы на столько классный кавер на Санитариум Металлики. Вэс звучит грубее, небрежнее. Хотя, возможно это и больше соответствует их песням.

@@aizik7780 да, Майк не имеет какого то уникального звучания, но его технический уровень значительно превосходит Веса. Было бы круто, чтобы они вместе играли.
